  1. I agree that Palmer should get the nod over Saka, who's looking a bit jaded at the moment. But Foden is arguably more dangerous when he plays in the middle, in the no 10 role
  2. Yeah I can't remember the last time we got four clean sheets in a row. The last time we got three was in 2020 under Dean Holden
  3. To be fair, in terms of success, Ipswich have long been a superior club to us
  4. Pearson still had a pretty good squad to work with last season
  5. Well, that may have been his remit at the beginning
  6. They're fair points Dave, and as a paying customer you're more than entitled to your opinion. As I've previously stated, I would prefer to have neither Manning nor Pearson in charge. Neither have filled me with much enthusiasm. But equally, I think some of the criticism of Manning has been ramped up because of what happened to his predecessor, and I don't think that's entirely fair
  7. Not at all. It's two men working with much the same set of players
  8. Well, as I said, I'm prepared to give him a summer. And he'll get that anyway, so everyone will have to accept it
  9. Sure, and he did some good work here - but two and a half years on, his results were much the same as the guy who's supposedly out of his depth
  10. I don't think Manning's been great by any means. I think he's done alright - especially considering the pressure he's been under from many fans. For me, it's too early to say whether he'll take us forward, and I'm prepared to give him the summer to find out. To be honest, I don't hold out much hope of anyone doing it
  11. We should've had a penalty and had good chances ourselves
  12. I was responding directly to the comment that Liam is out of his depth. If his results are more or less the same as Pearson's, does that mean Pearson was out of his depth?
  13. Thing is, even if you include all of Manning's 26 league results, they're really not much worse than Pearson's last 26 games in charge. Maybe by a couple of percent, but that's it
  14. It doesn't really bother me if we're winning games
  15. To be honest, it's quite rarely been exciting down Ashton Gate since we've been back in the Championship
  16. I couldn't care less - I wasn't there No, jokes aside, I think he's doing a good job. I'm sure the entertainment will come
  17. Four clean sheets in five games is very impressive. Well done Liam and the boys
  18. What do you mean by proper team? No team has been better than Man City over the past few years
