Surely that's not real?
Assuming that is a real post and also not an accidental quote price mistake from the club (these things do happen), then that is shameful. I wouldn't walk away from the club, i'd be running.
I'm suprised this story hasn't come out in more mainstream media as that is just insane.

Bit underwhelming looking at his stats but in Nigel we trust and best of luck to the lad
Signed as cover by the sounds of it. Why waste larger sums of money on salary/contract/agent fees for someone who probably wont get much game time?

These types of games make me very nervous when struggling teams come to visit us.

I reckon we should be going for Will Brown (GCC's CEO) he seems to be doing a splendid job At least it would piss off a lot on here !
******* suggestion then?

Any “normal” business that gets through that amount of CEO’s in that time period would be subject to speculation that the Owner or the business itself is bloody difficult to work for.
Would it? Or would a new applicant be thinking 6-8 months in to a job, then

Yes I'm sure there is a valid reason why he's gone, if true, but the silence from the top is deafening again.
Is it? As i write this, nothing officially confirmed yet that he's gone (unless i've missed it). Perhaps the comms is being prepared now?

Appreciate there is dislike for SL on here from some, but lets wait to hear what the reason/s are for this. Could be something we'd all understand and support.

Amazed that no one has yet speculated that he is going because the commute is too much, he has family matters he would rather focus on or he has been offered a better job elsewhere.
The last few months have been pretty toxic on here with the SL slagging.
Fair. And agree. Lets see what gets communicated. Could be many reasons. Will be interesting to read though.

I dont think bottled is the right word at all.

Really entertaining game and the best home perfomance so far. The only thing that lacked was the finishing but that's not a criticism of Bell or Wells. Really enjoyed today.

Yawn. Another F1
raceprocession of first place. A bit sad that they celebrate MV achievement at winning 10 races when his car is so much better than everyone elses. Hardly a race really. Like sticking Man City in the Championship and then celebrating the amazing achievement when they run away with itSomething needs to change in F1 to make it less predictable.
I'd love to see all teams race in the same spec cars and it be down to the skill of the driver. Never happen though.

Would have thought this was the worse time for a Spanish club to sign MG given what's going on with the women's team and their FA (dick)head atm!
Exactly what i thought this morning when i saw this news. Madness.

I can understand SL not wanting to/reduce the spend or try to recoupe some funds (from the AS money) and also make the financial position of the club much better (bringing the salary spend down) if he was looking to sell or try to attract new investment quickly....but is there any real progress on that front?
If not, then what is the positive outcome he's after? I'm very confused.
I do feel sorry for Nigel - as he says, he's the one in the firing line with these related questions when really others should be setting out the strategy/stepping up to anwer these.
It feels all a bit strange at the moment - or is that just reading too much on OTIB?

Because we've set it too low?
(And to be clear - I'm not advocating we pay anyone £20K a week in the Championship ever again)
Have we set it too low or has it been set at this level to avoid causing a future financial mess and to operate within the income the club makes?
If the financials were released now, would it show we're now making profit? We dip in to the AS funds to bring player/s in and we go above the salary budget ceiling which Nigels mentioned. Without increasing incoming funds from revenue streams to offset this, we risk ending up back in the financial mess we've been in?
I know it might not be as black and white as that but it might go some way to explaining why the salary budget is set as it is.
Do we want to set the club back on the path of overspending financially? It's a tough balance isn't it to spend well and be able to attract players and still be competative in football.

Does anyone know which team is staying at the Bristol Marriott Royal? Just walked past and there is a coach parked up which some people wearing training kit with All Blacks written on but it can't be the first team can it? A few autograph hunters waiting outside as well.

Sorry I ran out of likes, thank you each one of you who took the time to reply, I feel suitably embarrassed now because there are most people in life with better reasons to be messed up than mine, just all came to a head this evening but I'm ok really. You guys are heroes really. I'm going back in my shell now .
Never feel embarrassed for calling out when you're struggling PR. The most important thing you can do is to reach out and ask for help.
As others have said, always here to chat.
This thread shows OTIB at its best.

I am in a very small way. I do have full access to briefings etc that the pilots have. Luckily I have access to the marquee area, free food and parking etc, I am hugely fortunate in that way, otherwise it would be a hell of a struggle with weather like this. I fully appreciate how hard it has been for most, largely due to the weather. And no, I am nothing to do with the organisers so don't shoot the messenger
They still intend flying tonight, but as already stated Sunday does tend to be a pack up and go day. Briefing is still planned for 6pm as far as I know so will be decided then unless the weather gets us first!
I thought you might do judging by your posts above. That's very cool and don't worry, i won't hold you to it It's the comments on their Facebook page from the idiots that moan that i'd rather shoot
The weather can be so unlucky and it must be difficult for the pilots when they can't go up.

Yes me too. Most pilots who aren't local tend to leave before the Sunday pm spot. They got an awards/prize giving mid afternoon so doubt many will stay after that. Not many who got their balloons wet have put them up to dry yet so may see some tethering or flying later perhaps.
Thanks for the info about tonight RedM. Lots to consider. Are you involved in some way?

Yes, it looks like those 4 went up and reported conditions that weren't suitable after all so they stopped anymore from flying.
Yeah, i just saw the update as well. A good effort but safety has to come first.
Fingers crossed for 6pm and they've had time to dry the canopies out - weather looks better then.
On the plus side Ashton Gate looks amazing from Brandon Hill at 6.30am

Saw 4 go up but It looked too windy. I think the weather will have ruined this mornings attempt.

Why would 2 adults even do something like that. There is something very wrong with where society is headed at the moment.
