  1. Social distancing will go not because it's no longer needed but becuase some people have become too complacent recently. Time will tell if this causes an upturn. The virus hasn't gone.
  2. Assuming everyone gets the vaccine by the start of the season.
  3. Completely agree. Also how would the club put processes in place to deal with social distancing under the stands and outside of the ground before and after the game and think about how much longer it would take for people to get in and out of the game. Also if someone who attended confirmed they had it how the heck would the club contact everyone that attended and how would they know who was near who. Think about the logistics of policing it all. Plus with everyone wearing face masks (assuming 100% will and no one forgets it when they get to the game) can you imagine police being happy
  4. I chose not to renew partly becuase of LJ and the style of football we played which was awful to watch but mainly due to the current impacts of COVID and not knowing if we'll be able to get in to the ground to watch games. Once more is known I'll likely renew and given now Lee has moved on, fingers crossed the football will improve under a new manager.
  5. I agree to an extent with the OP. We have too many fans that will be jizzing all over these 2 wins and calling for Holden take charge and we deserve to be promoted bollox. I think we need to keep our heads and focus on the bigger picture. Clearly Johnson's time was over (correct decision from the board to fire him) but we've played 2 poor sides lets not forget (we'd probably have lost them if Lee was in charge which is why it was right for hom to go). Personally I'm not co convinced Holden should take over. We should be looking for someone that can manage with more experience in the
  6. Nope. Leeds can do one. Hate everything about them and the media love in that surounds them. Happy if Swansea smash them.
  7. To be fair to Jerry I messaged him yesturday and he's looked in to my issue today and replied really quickly and he's been great. I imagine that he's really busy dealing with lots of messages and it seems that there could possibly be lots of different scenarios which the club are having to work through with the banks and/or Cr. Card companies (not excusing the process or the lack of explanation from the club - not down to Jerry to communicaten something like this in my view). Whilst it does take the piss from the club and it shouldn't be taking this long, Jerry has been really helpful.
  8. I've had no multiple refund emails (per game as suggested I should by the about posts) and no money back yet.
  9. Let's wait and see how this pans out. Not all up and coming managers or ones from L1/2 will automatically mean they'll be rubbish. Equally we could go for a manager with bags or experience and it turn out a disaster (ask Spurs how they're getting on). Personally I'd rather we use this moment to bring in someone with PL or Championshop experience to push on but i accept that means we're likely to get someone who wants to spend lots to bring in their team and players which right now we might not be able to do under the current economic issues and what the future looks like.
  10. Not sure i agree. I don't see anything wrong with the hierarchy looking to employ someone that will fit in - personality wise (as well as having the right credentials) - pretty sure the last thing anyone wants is to work with someone that they hate getting up in the morming and going in to work with. Personally I'd rather work with someone who doesn't set out looking for confrontation but can still do the job excellently.
  11. Getting a result tonight isn't about making the playoffs, its about the players getting some belief back and building their confidence again. Plus stopping the rot. Very important for attracting a new manager and of course next season. You should care!!!!!
  12. I've had nothing as well but i thought someone said they were processing them last week and it would take 4/5 days once processed. I assume that meant 4/5 days on top of the 14 days they had to process the requests. If we've seen nothing after the to contact the club.
  13. Yeah. Imagine what a player we'd have if we used him and the players around him in the right way. It certainly would help soften the blow of Afobe returning to Stoke.
  14. You do make a good point with Kalas and Webster in that it goes to show how important it is (for some players) to have the right players around them in order to get the best out of them. Maybe thats the missing part for Wells?
  15. I hope the next manager can get the best out of Wells. Can't help but feel he's the poor version of Afobe (both definitely have the skill) but Wells just doesn't seem to have settled well in the team. Appreciate that could be down to the way Lee had the team playing which Wells may have been getting frustrated with (e.g lack of service) but Afobe seemed to be much more passionate when he played and had more about him when he played than just a goal threat. Wells could turn out to be one of the biggest flops we've bought so I'm hoping the next man in can help kick start his time with us.
  16. I agree if it was that simple but i don't see the bigger names lowering their demands just yet - especially when some likely to drop out of the PL will be better options for them. I also think there will still be clubs at our level willing to take a risk at the moment in the greater desperation to get in to the PL.
  17. Yeah let's be honest here folks, the COVID situation so far impacting the finances of football and the unknown impacts on next seasons income is going to play a significant part in not only the amount of money Steve is going to make available (which any incoming manager is going to be keen on) but also the wages (and compensation package) we'd be willing to offer a new manager. I think we can therefore rule out any big names we might have been tempted to shoot for pre COVID and may look to take a punt on another (cheaper) up and coming one to help balance the books. That coupled with the possi
  18. These 'jokes' are so boring now and have been flogged to death.
  19. What? Are you being serious or on a wind up?
  20. I think the big test will be to see how the players react in the next game.
  21. Bloody Android. Time to dust off the BBC! Edit: mind out of the gutter OTIB - not that!!!!!!!
  22. Thanks for all the work Tom in making this a great looking forum. This is not criticism - just some end user feedback if you're unaware already. I use Android and the forum is still incredibly slow (even before the news tonight). It's been really slow for me when accessing the Football Chat page first or refreshing this page (can take minutes) but then once I'm in I can get in to the threads as normal. Then when leaving the threads to get back to the Football Chat page (to view the threads) it takes minutes again. Is this likely to be me or are you still seeing performance issues?
  23. No, I've had nothing but it does say 14 working days. Doesn't say whether that's from when they receive the e-mail confirming the option choice or from the cut off date which I suspected is. I think the cut off was mid day Tuesday 16th from memory so if that's what they're working to then it'll be Friday 3rd or Monday 6th. Not sure how they'll process mine though as the card I paid with was cancelled recently due to some thieving ****** attempting a fraudulent transaction on it.
  24. Spot on. Its been like it all day for me. It takes ages for threads to load. In the end I give up.
  25. I think we'll start brightly, then concede and we'll revert to type and it'll fall apart. Go out there and make me eat my words, City. Prove me wrong.
