  1. Got to say, if I was a Cardiff fan I'd be pretty ashamed of my club. If City did something like this, i'd have to walk away while the owner/s were in charge. The questionable morals in football makes this sport increasing difficult to associate with.
  2. It's a lot of money to pay to go to England games to watch this. Very boring. Still a long way to though.
  3. Oh god, we're going to win James Corden aren't we!
  4. Fantastic composure and calmness from Rashford.
  5. Are you able to expand? Re Benarous, do you mean NP is supporting him while he recovers from injury?
  6. Good to see some of the usual posters come on here tonight
  7. Quote from one of his wives - 'he really loved me, he'd just ordered me a new car' ? Really interesting watch and recommend it.
  8. I think these days it's expected that you're going to hear it alot at football and it doesn't bother me. However, I think if someone's gone out of their way to make a complaint and the 'club' had approached me to ask me to tone it down, I think that would be enough to make me question how often i swore/the words I was using might be impacting those around me - especially kids. Not sure my thought would be to push back with a view that I'd been the one put out by the complaint.
  9. Interesting twist when 2 of the 'firm' (not sure what else to label them as) announced they were undercover cops at the end. Be interesting to see what happened in next week's episode. And Colin Monaghan ?
  10. Imagine if City could make that amount from the loans we send out. Would be a great little earner. I do appreciate City probably have a similar approach when clubs come calling to loan our players (not suggesting we make money anywhere near that). It does highlight though just how lucrative a business (within a business of a football club) can be doesn't it. Goes to show how good events like last night are. I know what was discussed may not be new information for lots of people on here but I find it really helpful to hear it from the 'horses mouth' as you often get to hear more details and context.
  11. I thought Tins recognised it was sarcastic (if I did, he must have done) - his reaction suggested (to me anyway) that he thought it was funny.
  12. Yeah, I thought exactly the same thing. The LMs driver is to hit financial (I assume) targets for their club, effectively running their job as a business within the club (which I hadn't fully appreciated). Feels like that can hike up the price of loan deals (especially if the LM isnt hitting their financial targets). I can see why City try to avoid going to the loan market as it can cost loads (as well as it blocking the development of our own younsters). Every day's a school day.
  13. Really enjoyed watching it last night. I think Nigel came across so differently to his press interviews which was nice - more down to earth and relaxed. Made me chuckle as well when someone shouted out (jokingly i think) 'Ryan Kent' as a suggestion as one of the better left sided players we've had and Tins reaction to laugh out loud and roll his eyes. Made me chuckle anyway. RG also came across well too. There were a few good humoured moments throughout. Thank you City and to those involved in arranging that evening (and putting it on Youtube).
  14. Plenty of time. Hopefully this is the backfiring early goal.
  15. Nothing to see here. Just double checking the terms of his new contract ?
  16. Jeez. We have had years of struggling and under performing followed by our recent good form (which is rather short by comparison) and all of a sudden the expectation is we're playoff contenders. Enjoy the moment and don't set expectations that are unfair or unrealistic against teams with the resources of Burnley or Norwich. It's a long season. At least wait until January before considering where we are.
  17. Corrected it. Depends on how good our negotiators are, when he's sold (time left in contract, ala HNM situation), and the financial climate in football at that time. No guarantees anymore unfortunately. Feel like there's a shift in power of selling clubs holding the best cards to dictate the price.
  18. Jackets and Luxury. 2 things that isn't! It's a no from me. Not my cup of tea but I'm sure there will be people that like it.
  19. Think you've gone mad. Shows as Birmingham for me at the Gate.
  20. Job for.... (everytime anyone gets sacked) Gas are....(1 up/down at any point on the City match day thread) Agent.....[insert ex players name/or anyone that's scored against Rovers)
