We were away at Stoke who ran a promotion meaning we were charged considerably more than their fans to sit in the same stand. The Dunfords and the rest of the board refused to take boardroom hospitality and sat in the away section.

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's the case, I just don't remember the details of 1982 from the time. I do know one of the 8 and chatted to one other about it at a later date and how it is reported now , which is far from the reality of what actually happened. Those players were shat on from a great height.
