  1. I’d be putting my hand in my pocket too. The Club vs. Club rivalry is one thing, looking out for employees being done over by club ownership is something different.
  2. Well it seems to cope fine with the rugby so can’t see it making a difference.
  3. You don’t have to watch it. Do you feel emasculated somehow? I can’t stand the Champions League but it’s force fed to us, I can’t stand the six nations or Wimbledon either, what’s the difference? I really don’t understand your view point at all.
  4. Bristol Sport now supply their kit, that’s all.
  5. After reading that thread I have a feeling that gasfred is one of them, what a belter. That being said all clubs have their share, it’s how it’s dealt with that matters.
  6. We were indeed, neither the plod nor the Crawley fans had a clue. Bloody hilarious, we must have looked right nutters.
  7. Something tells me navigating dodgy streams isn’t really your bag. I’d give up before you download something horrendous or throw the PC out the window. Not really worth it!
  8. Ta, well yes. Nantes are right to expect payment. The travel plans and insurance details are up to Cardiff. Nantes should have the contract fulfilled. Quite horrible they haven’t to be honest, just do the decent thing and honour the contract so this doesn’t blow out of all proportion. More important things than multimillion pound clubs reneging on deals.
  9. I’m not sure I understand. He was Cardiff’s player therefore what has anything got to do with his old club? Genuine question.
  10. The transfer had completed, Cardiff will have to pay. The way it’s being dealt with is distateful but Cardiff have to honour the contract. it’s up to Cardiff to deal with their insurers.
  11. Very tragic, but when did we become so melodramatic in this country? (Actually I probably know the answer). This grief ‘tourism’ is very bizarre in my opinion. Thoughts to the pilot’s and player’s family of course.
  12. They’re spending their evening sewing on their ‘Stoned Ireland’ badges they bought off eBay instead.
  13. Are you agreeing with what you’ve posted or highlighting the idiocy of others? I’m guessing the second.
  14. Wrong time for this question, but I’ll answer it anyway, most companies take out a ‘relevant life’ policy (effectively death in service) on individuals to provide financial compensation for their families, or in the case of Walmart (used to do before they were sued for it) as ‘dead peasant’ policies where the company takes the cash. ‘Key man’, is what they take out to cover recruitment costs and the implied value of the lost employee. Grim, but that’s what should happen.
  15. Tbf we’ve plenty in this forum doing the same.
  16. Unfortunately if you’re a geek being a redshirt isn’t something you’d want to be. Likely to be shot/eaten/abducted/disintegrated while the captain looks on impassively.
  17. I loved the guy but he was handed L1 on a plate. Still took a load of balls to do what he did though, we’ve seen many in the Championship fail with money thrown at them. Will always have respect, and great memories from him. However if he goes to Rover’s (can’t imagine he will) hope he’s shite.
  18. Well I personally applauded him whilst doing well. I got arsey when he wouldn’t put up a full bench, I also questioned the support he had at that time from the owner/board. He was petulant towards the end and failing, his fault or the powers that be is another argument. You can’t just keep clapping when things are going pear shaped.
  19. Always wondered why he named himself after a popular brand of urinal.
  20. Classy appointment if true. Although maybe we could get him as part of our groundstaff, those rugby lines would be gone in no time.
  21. Football really is a different world. Where else could you fail, slag the owners off in public and still get years worth of pay on being sacked? Not having a go at Dopey in particular but what other jobs offer that?
  22. Yep but he strikes me as the kind of guy who goes to ‘Area 51’ on his holidays.
