  1. I am unsure. Is 6526 "nearly a full house?"
  2. Too many passes misplaced, under-hit or over-hit. If you were rating players out of ten I'd struggle to find someone above six.
  3. In recent months we have been often let down by our final ball. It seems the answer is to have the other team do that for us.
  4. What are "plans", and why do you need them for a football stand? ....Asking for a friend
  5. I guess we all find it hard to sleep on a coach.
  6. If there were no wealthy owners would the "market" just not re-adjust itself in time. i.e. clubs would eventually end up living within their means and being a bang average championship pro footballer (maybe £10k per week £500K per year) would not pay more than being a surgeon (maybe £100K pewr year) *big cavbeat here these are googled figures ao could be way off, but the way football pays players is frankly at the point of being gross.
  7. He looked it up online - the analyst team are now researching a dutch player called van der graaf
  8. I fully support them moving to Scotland!!
  9. IMO the issue is that it's not just Conway - this time last year fans were often also praising Pring, Tanner, Vyner, and Bell (to a lesser extent). All of these players were likely increasing in value and some were rumoured to be drawing admiring glances from other clubs. It would be hard to argue ANY of these players have increased in value this season, though injuries have palyed a part in this. Behind all of the players above we could see progress too in OTC, Knight-lebel, Leeson, Kadji, Araoye. It may be a false impression given by the fact that we see fewer academy prospects on the bench and getting minutes, but it feels like the very clear and much talked about "pathway" that existed under the previous regime has been covered over by the weeds.
  10. I think that is worry many share. If Manning is still here next season we need the momentum moving upwards again in the summer.
  11. The chances of us reaching the playoffs and going up are probably 1 in 1000 or lower. But if a miracle happened and we did go up via the pray offs, can you just imagine this team in the prem next season?? we'd make the Burnley and Sheffield utd of this season look like Real Madrid.
  12. It will be great to have him back fit for the start of the 2025/2026 season!
  13. These two posts sum up their mindset and the reason the gap is in the 20's. They can easily claim they would "do better" with the same resources we have had. BUT because they have had crap crowds for 2-3 generations they don't have that kind of money. If their fans actually started turning up at home and selling out their little ground they might progress.
  14. That is true. It was not really "convenient", it just it wasn't in the last 10 seasons and it was late when I was compiling the list. The data source i was using went back as far as 2003. In the period I didn't add to the post (2003-2013) there were maybe another three (?) "Over fifty points needed for safety" seasons. It's more evidence we might need fifty plus points this season; as others have alluded to improved form below us points to a higher total being likely this year. However to dress it up as 50 points is always being relegated is IMO stretching it. Just to be clear I think we will likely be safe, but we absolutely must pick up our form and get some points soon or the end of the season could be a lot more worrying than I expected it would have been with NP in charge. I do not like the current trajectory of the club. From what felt positive before, it now feels toxic. If things go south from here blame needs to be laid not with LM but with the executive club management.
  15. It's certainly not guaranteed relegation, but it is occasionally true that 50 pts will get you relegated - either way 50 points is definitely too close for comfort. True True ignoring Goal difference survival these are the points required to have been safe and clear of 22nd place in the last 10 seasons 2022/23 - 45 pts 2021/22 - 38 pts 2020/21 - 44 pts 2019/20 - 49 pts 2018/19 - 41 pts 2017/18 - 42 pts 2016/17 - 52 pts 2015/16 - 41 pts 2014/15 - 42 pts 2013/14 - 44 pts
  16. I am not sure basing a sales model on the lineage and family tree of gasheads is a good idea.
  17. 50+ years of (poor) attendance would suggest that is not entirely true
  18. Poor kid - maybe he should have just let him go with his mates anyway? Altogether now "My old man said be a Rovers fan! - I said......."
  19. Were we not informed by the fewers, this time last year, when the redevelopment idea was first raised, that their rebuilt south stand would be "better than trashton" and "state of the art." Surely the ST price increases just reflect the "increase" in facilities. Unfortunately for them the stand that has been built is less "state of the art" and more "state of that!".
  20. Some points spring to mind 1) "We need you for longer" - Could it possibly be that the self-styled "watch them from the pavements / best fans in the world" were actually just crap last night? 2) Manager's usually go out of their way to praise fans, especially so travelling fans - so for him to make ANY negative comments to fans, which can turn out risky for a manager's future, he must have felt their support was FAR below expectations 3) He says the shirt "weighs heavily on the players" - he does realise they are Bristol rovers not Man Utd, Tottenham or Arsenal right? They have exactly zero history so what is weighing on the players minds?
  21. I'd imagine signing to play for the gas means you have little to none of that left.
