I find it fascinating that we tend to get a weekly thread where people claim everyone is biased against us, I think some hang on every word from the commentators and pundits.

    Paranoia me thinks!

It is somewhat amusing that people claim we don't get enough credit from the media and the opposition yet spend most of their time moaning about how shit we are.

I actually think we get a fair amount of attention and positive coverage these days from Sky and their pundits. Especially compared to 10+ years ago when we rarely got taken seriously, our play off final season, we were pretty much written off right up until the final.

  2. I've now realised that this guy is having the absolute time of his life at the moment, not only fueling speculation amongst us but also being directly sourced and quoted by various national news outlets who often state 'according to Bristol Live'.

We go from within days of announcing Hughton, which even prompted other fans' congratulations of such an appointment, and lots of national media that quoted him, to now taking Dean Holden seriously.

    I mean come on....

Either someone at the club is seriously taking the p*** out of him or he is an absolute sh** show of journalist for a lazy rag, that seems to thrive on absolute guess work, which amazingly is still being taken seriously and annoyingly talked to death about every day.

I do realise that he is obviously tasked with reporting whatever he may or may not know, but wish he'd just p*** off to be honest..

Rant over and apologies to any fans of his.

Oh God, the handful of LJ moaners are back, what a shock to lose to the league leaders, LJ must be crap again .... yawn.

Losing to the league leaders was generally anticipated, but it's the manner in defeat which riles fans. The football is disjointed and uninspiring.

I don't think anyone means "Give the head coach a free pass". I think they mean "fair and objective criticism without feeling the need to point out he isn't the tallest man on Earth"

I think even Lee himself knows that no matter what he does, he's always only a few defeats away from being a midget.

  5. My only gripe with COD is his decision making as to when to release the ball. A number of times towards the end of game he dribbled too long and ran into trouble, when he could of passed and retain possession. But certainly is more effective than the op suggests.

Whoops! I’ve confused the issue by referring to the Arsenal game, as the Mane incident is the one I meant!

    Apologies all round.

Clearly Aurier meant to kick the ball, and had no way of avoiding kicking Mane, who inserted his leg at the last instant. This may not have been deliberate, but I do think attackers are doing this deliberately to get penalties.

No need to apologise. Mane certainly intended on recieving the kick, you have to admire his quick thinking but ultimately it is cheating. Just not in the most obvious form.

    Who did create ?

    .............answers on a postcard

The fact , after that performance people latch onto COD is simply laughable

I might be in the minority , and it’s easier to run with the mob , but the reality is a lot of the others who are over hyped on here simply aren’t good enough in basic technique alone

Eliasson? He put in 3 or 4 excellent crosses when he came on. Looked an absolute menace, should of started all day long!

One of the few players that can actually cope with the ball whilst being pressed , but hey lets blame COD ........

    :laughcont:

There are plenty of others to blame for certain things today of course, but holding on to the ball under pressure doesn't really justify his lack of creativity, or being woefully exposed, especially when he clearly doesn't want to be here.
