  1. For those who are not renewing but still have a bit of love for City and want to watch games, can I suggest a subscription to a VPN and RobinsTV. A lot cheaper than a season ticket and great value if more than one of you are watching. You get to watch the away games too. The only downside is that you have to listen to Downsy
  2. Boring football, Poor win ratio, sliding down the table and higher prices. You can see where this is going.
  3. I'm still waiting to see some of the high performance that place was supposed to produce. Maybe they should have called it The Pulled Hamstring Centre.
  4. I don't think it matters much any more NTTDS because the other lot have become a non-entity.
  5. The more often that you reduce the quality of the product and increase the price you charge for it, the sooner the tipping point will come. This is particularly true during a cost of living crisis.
  6. He's not going to progress playing at that level.
  7. I would imagine that the prawn cocktail seats will be empty
  8. There will be a lot of boo-ing if we lose 5 on the trot and it will be highly likely that we will be questioning whether Bernard Manning is actually up to the job. After all, it's his tactics that seem to be causing the problem (or lack of any tactics). The bottom 3 are looking very close now. Next years season cards not on sale yet either - I wonder why that is !!!
  9. Had a decent 2nd half last night and I suspect he was instructed to push forward and take on defenders as opposed to try not to lose the ball and pass backwards and sideways. How much is down to the player and how much is down to the manager and the instructions he is normally given? If you want that type of player to succeed, then you have to give him freedom and allow him to take on defenders otherwise you may as well not play him at all.
  10. When I think we are going to be mullered by anyone, we always seem to win. That's the only element of positivity I have tonight. If we do get mullered, Manning's position becomes almost untenable. A boy trying to do a mans job, I think.
  11. He decided that as he said the same thing after the last 3 defeats, he had nothing else to say and he was probably scared about the amount of stick he would get spouting the same bullshit all over again. There comes a time when saying "we can work on the positives" won't cut it any more when there aint any.
  12. After we lose our 4th game on the bounce, Liam will still be trying to focus on the positives. If you are fast dropping towards the relegation zone, then it's about time he started focusing on the negatives, typically motivation, tactics and overall game management.
  13. A spanking live on Sky will not do morale any good especially when it must be pretty low anyway after 3 defeats on the bounce and a trajectory heading very quickly towards League one. I really hope we are going to see a reaction from the team tonight but I suspect that the gameplan will be another Manningball effort with 0 shots on target. Will have to watch in the pub or a dodgy stream tonight but we might look a lot worse in HD, so a stream might be the best bet. If you haven't got the stomach to watch then there is always Radio Brizzle and if you can't even bear to listen, then even the pub is out as they will be showing the game. I think the only people likely to enjoy tonight will be the tractor boys and gasheads. Possibly the fans of the bottom 3 may be happy to see us heading in their direction too. I just hope that we do not get an embarrassing spanking.
  14. Presumably that means it's not on Robins TV then does it?
  15. Having lost the card, I hope he had the sense to cancel it. So it can probably go in the bin
  16. I can imagine that Ipswich will find it fairly easy to play against boring old Manningball. That said, it seems that we can up our performances against the better teams if it suits us.
  17. When did a managers second stint at any club lead to a good outcome though?
  18. That didn't end well last time, did it
  19. Thanks for that Liam. Now have a serious look at the negatives. i.e your coaching, tactics, motivation skills and decision making.
  20. I've had enough of Manningball. Lets see some proper football starting on Tuesday night. I don't know what his win ratio has been since he came here but it seems utterly abysmal. To think that we had a manager that knew what he was doing just a few weeks ago.
  21. Went past the halfway line once in the last game and his mental health got severely impacted
  22. No snow in Ashton, but the surrounding areas are white. The game will certainly be on and most of us will be there. Some of the sheep from the valleys might not find travelling so easy though but the trains should be OK provided that it's not the wrong kind of snow. I had a dream last night that Mehmeti would have a decent game and actually produce some output. Dreams can be so ridiculous, can't they. If he plays, we need to clatter O'Dowda early on as he is a bit of a baby and it will be interesting to see Fam again and what reception we give him (I guess he will probably be up for it today). We really need to put the ghosts of the last couple of games to bed and everyone needs to put in a decent shift today. I'm predicting a City win.
  23. Spent most of his career returning from an injury as far as I can remember.
  24. This squad needs motivating and I don't get the impression that Manning is the motivational type TBH. This squad needs someone like Colin to give it a kick up the backside ,but he is well past it now and not the type of yes man the current board would be remotely interested in. The players seem to lack any conviction or belief at the moment Tactically, he looks like a mid to lower end of the table type of manager, but probably needs to be judged after his proverbial first 3 transfer windows. I think that despite the lack of any backing from the board and having his best players sold, without adequate replacements most of us believe that Nige still had us heading in the right direction but I'm not sure quite what direction we are going in at the moment and SL and JL will never admit that they were wrong even if things get a lot worse despite the majority of City fans saying "we told you so".
