Well I certainly won't be participating in the Bristol Naked Bike ride again. I only bent over to tie my shoes and someone mistook me for a bike rack.
Sorry mate!
It looked like rusty metal to me.

You don`t mean there were teds in the home end?
In the 70's their end was our end.
We would start walking from East St and by the time we got to Stapleton Rd we were half a million strong.

Did they fail in their bid to lure a player away from Dover Athletic..?
DC got a bit confused and thought there was a player called Cliff White from Dover.

I think Brum was 71/72ish, couldn't move them, think they won 1-0 with a very young Trevor Francis goal, Pompey also immovable round about the same time, no-one else that I can remember came on the EE and stayed in such large numbers as those two
Villa did.
they filled the East end and there was no way of shifting them.

Think we played Millwall the week before at AG where there was plenty of trouble hence them turning up at Swindon looking for revenge, I'd say it was '72 or '73
That was fun!
We ran them out the East End in the far corner where the only escape was to climb the fence with plenty more city boys waiting for them to drop down from the fence.
I can still see the Millwall faces as they thought it would be an easy day...

I think that's a shaven stiff ?

Just seen this on the Bahdiff forum (Annis).......... Rovers is in the far nicer northern suburbs of Bristol too, the level of support in the city itself always seemed even to me. The red lot just draw support from areas south of Bristol to gain a few more.

Best Odds....................City 19/10 Villa 9/5 and 23/10 a Draw.

Anybody would think they've deprived us of an FA Cup final
Well done Rovers, you 'win' the right to play Chelsea's reserves in a half empty Stamford Bridge in the 2nd round of a Competition that few people care about until the latter stages.
I know some City fans are gutted about this for some reason but I genuinely don't care.
I didn't watch the game, presumably the Gas had a full house (like we do when Cardiff visit) and created a cauldron of noise for the cameras to show the public that they're as loud and passionate as they insist on telling everybody?
THREE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED Gas fans turned up for a local derby.

Crowd 4,851......1000 Cardiff...
