  1. I still haven't got over Stoke fans pulling moonies at us as they were getting out of the coach park when they beat us at Wembley. We were stuck and couldn't move for bloody ages. Not that I hold grudges but I hope they go down.
  2. I normally dread the last day of the season because the thought of not being able to watch my beloved City or wait nervously on Soccer Saturday to see how our games unfold. This season, I can't wait for it to be over. What a dreadful few months it has been and more to come unless a trigger or 3 gets pulled before the end of the season!
  3. Has it been made public about what his health problem is and or likelihood / timescales that he will return to management?
  4. I was hoping he would step down permanently, get well again and then take over at City once Manning has been removed.
  5. Red, I think you've left the top off the Pritt Stik. Screw the lid back on, open some windows and the fumes will soon clear and your head will return to normality.
  6. Man City tribunal date has been set but not been made public.
  7. Blige. That is more than a bit of a stretch Archie
  8. What an under used word 'inane' is. In LM case, spot on. Take a bow Mike.
  9. 12/1 odds are quite generous SD.
  10. They do like to play with possession and they do like to play a high line. However, they and their management team will look to adapt to situations when the above is not best suited to the game they are in. In short, they have a Plan B and Plan C, so they can adapt. This is where LM has been so disappointing. We are so predictable and when it isn't working we know the changes he will try and implement (such as they are) so if we know it then you can be damn sure the opposition management and players know it.
  11. Almost a case of being careful for what you wish for isn't it? Something, we really don't need to be concerned about because we are so far off it ever happening. However, if it did happen. I think the club would have a similar approach to Sheff Utd. I think they would spend very little (in relative terms) take whatever was coming to them i.e. getting battered for the most part of the season. Get relegated and take the Parachute Payments. Then go again in the Championship the following season with a bigger budget than most of the other teams.
  12. If someone had told me there would be 4 pages on a thread with the title Relegation Battle Threat back on 31st October 2023. I think a call to the Funny Farm would be in order. However, here we are and we are all looking at the least number of points needed from the remaining 11 games to stay up. Utter madness and all of the club's own doing. What is worse is that the same people that put us in this mess go MIA all of a sudden. I never wanted Manning here but I don't blame him for going for and getting the job. Now we have invisible and silent hierarchy and a Coach that is clearly out of his depth that doesn't sound particularly inspiring or even building a siege mentality. If we do stay up and in my opinion it is still a big if. Then there needs to be big changes over the summer and if there isn't then we are in big trouble and if we are in a dog fight from day one of the new season then you need a squad, management and leaders with big hearts and fight. As things are right now, we don't have any of these things.
  13. I've mainly been reading this topic over the past couple of days and haven't posted much on OTIB lately. However, it is pretty depressing reading. I'm certainly not having a dig at any posts or contributor here. Just shows what a mess we are in and the mess that could get worse. A lot worse. There is the other side of the coin where everything falls in to place and we have a great summer, pre-season and we look the Mutts Nuts come August. As a City fan of over 50 years, I just can't see that happening. Anyway, myself and others like me have been through more depressing times than the current times. See you all at the Gate tomorrow.
  14. I can't be sure but I think the general consensus is that Liam pre Cardiff interview wasn't particularly impressive? (sarcasm is difficult to put across in typed form). I really hope that if we do get 3 points at home (no sarcasm) then Liam doesn't do that embarrassing Klopp impression to S82 / South Stand. Such a cringe. Though he hasn't had the opportunity to do it much.
  15. Thanks for the summary Silvio. Some of those points makes him look like he is delusional !!
  16. If he had made the same application with his football career with as much enthusiasm as he did his ridiculous hair dos then he would have been some player. However, he didn't and to be totally honest, I thought he had retired already!
  17. I see you are in Teignmouth and our train stops there on Saturday which is the one that gets in to BTM at about 10:15. You are welcome to a can of Natch if you are on the same train.
  18. Cheers Gav. The crate is just for me and one other. The rest of them can get their own
  19. First and foremost Manning doesn't seem to be able to adapt. If Plan A goes well, we look decent if we get sussed out which seems to be happening more often than not then Manning looks like a rabbit in the headlights. I think we will be ok in that we won't get relegated but that is hardly an aspiration is it? I keep hearing and reading that once the summer has come and gone we will be looking better and to be within a top 6 finish. I just can't see it myself. I'm one of 8 of us coming up from Devon on the train for the Cardiff game and booked it all a few weeks ago. Got a crate of Natch and will be on the first can by the time the train leaves at 8:28am. Most of us a travelling in hope rather than expectation. I've been having nightmares about Fam scoring the winner and tapping his head in front of the South Stand. COYR
  20. Didn't we draw v Fulham in last game before COVID? The kit that was made out of several old kits or did I imagine it? In any case, it was a very tin pot thing to do on Saturday.
  21. He's got all week this week so no excuses after the next game.
  22. I was somewhat surprised that the Lineo (i.e. because he was inept) saw Smallbone get a touch on the ball putting it through to Mehmeti for our first goal. Admittedly the Lineo was very close but sometimes being so close to it that could have been missed. I was waiting for the offside flag.
