  1. Self Employed need to be given some ‘comfort’ regarding earnings ASAP. This is simply not right for them.
  2. Absolutely, it is crazy. Yes, go out for , food, or work if you can’t work at home or are a critical worker , but otherwise, no excuse - STAY INSIDE.
  3. One option they have is to temporarily stop income tax and N.I. payments for everyone earning under a certain level and make this non- recoverable. We are certainly going to have to pay increased tax going forward, as will be the case elsewhere but that is the least of our worries right now.
  4. The party political stuff is crazy, would anyone do any better ? No they wouldn’t,utterly in charterted territory here, NOBODY worldwide has the answer. All we can do is isolate and stay as safe as we can. This whole thing is madness, BUT it’s real. Stay safe fellow Reds.
  5. Just read the article - £100k a month losses - flippin hell!
  6. According to R5L the current top 6 had a call yesterday and this afternoon that is being extended to all 24 clubs - the agenda being all about ensuring that the EFL commit to finishing the season - whenever that might be.
  7. We are in uncharted waters here to a massive extent. I believe that the Government are doing what they “think “ is right based on the information they have.No party political view from me at all. They do need to support individuals that are struggling and business, that is clear.
  8. I flew back into Gatwick 9am Sunday - no queue at immigration, bags arrived in 5 minutes it was a strange experience.
  9. They were, but because I am going abroad on Saturday to a country where these things are not readily available. not because of the current panic.
  10. Been out tonight to get some food in a supermarket - no tissues, no paracetamol no hand wash - madness
  11. It’s not a gulf, it’s a chasm, we operate in a very different environment. Hopefully, even more so after May. We are progressing and at one point soon we will join the elite football clubs in England, they will never achieve that.
  12. I don’t think we plan to be in this division in 2 years - don’t think we plan to be in this division next season @Mr Popodopolous
  13. It doesn’t add up you are right @Mr Popodopolous but in the “good times” they were spending way above the PL TV money, utter madness. I don’t think for one second that the current owner did anything other than try to make a few quid out of the club. EFL to blame for that hands down. Hope they are OK
  14. The issue with Bolton is that they pissed away the PL money and some - I recall reading that when they got relegated from the PL , despite all the money they “earned” there, they still owned Eddie Davies £138m - there is financial mismanagement and then there is madness.
  15. The major downside to that thought is all the top talent would be off abroad chasing the money. As would youngsters as they make a name for themselves then realize that 5 years in Spain and them their kids and their grandchildren are made for life. Not saying it is right but it’s how it is.
  16. Nor can I........ Maybe ‘due course’ is actually quite soon......might explain a few things regarding our apparent silence on these matters.
  17. Indeed we did but I think that was under the previous loan regime when you could loan players for periods shorter than a season
  18. I would have thought after the play-offs as I would hope ours would as well.
  19. According to the BBC , The Telegraph are reporting that FLDC cannot complete the pre- contract signing of Graham Shinnie - been mentioned as of interest to us in the Transfer Forum - as they are already under a ‘soft’ transfer embargo whilst the EFL investigates their accounts. If true, could become interesting.
  20. Could get interesting, particularly if a club, who may just miss out on the play-offs partly due to other clubs overspending, had someone on the EFL board...................
  21. I wouldn’t expect this to be resolved anytime soon, which will not help the friends and families of the the two men that sadly lost their lives that evening.
  22. I don't think he will be too impressed either. Suspect he will walk in the summer regardless of which league they are in next season.
  23. I don't wish to take anything away from the tragedy of the player and the pilot losing their lives, that is much more important than anything else. There are a lot of things around the transfer itself that don't make sense and now Cardiff are claiming that he wasn't registered to play which sounds somewhat bizarre. And without wishing in any way to be disrespectful, I am surprised that Cardiff did not have an insurance policy to cover anything that might befall the poor lad. He was, registration put aside, an expensive acquisition.
  24. Not looking to pxxx on anyone's chips but according to an article on the BBC Football site the date for the EFL meeting to discuss Brum's potential punishment has not even been set as yet! Could be any number of reasons for this, but it would suggest all is not cut and dried!
