  1. We're dominating. Something in the region of 70% possession. Looking calm and composed for the most part. Walsall have had a break or two but nothing of real note.
  2. I missed the build up as the pub were showing Liverpool v Man Utd, did Matt Smith make an appearance?
  3. With absolutely no disrespect to Crewe at all (who, like others, I admire as a club), we need to be winning these games if we have any intention of being promoted. I'll take any sort of win today, even if we have to grind out a 1-0.
  4. It's okay. I have the exact same attendance record as you and I am attending today, so we should be alright.
  5. Bristol City: League runners up 1906/7, FA Cup Runners Up 1909
  6. Stewart (Ipswich) Hayles (Fulham) Cureton (Gas) and one other? EDIT: Unless Cureton had gone to Reading by then.
  7. Gary Stevens is one of them. EDIT: And Alan Smith is another.
  8. 3 in a row for the first time since beating Burnley at Home 3-1, Millwall Away 2-1 and Southampton Home 2-0 in November 2011.
  9. I agree, it is unbalanced. I suppose the good thing is given the selection it would be easy to swap to 4-4-2 if it wasn't working.
  10. The way its listed (from @bcfctweets on Twitter) indicates 3-5-2.
  11. You'll be disappointed then. Moore; El-Abd, Flint, Williams; Wagstaff, M Elliott, Gillett, Bryan, Cunningham; Emmanuel-Thomas, Baldock. Subs: Barnett, Burns, Pack, Reid, W Elliott, Moloney, Fielding Another bizarre selection, I think. Burns not worth a start? Pack dropped?
  12. Yeah, delivery quality is a concern. I would hope it's something the coaching staff are working on.
  13. I don't know. But with Osborne, Flint, Williams, El Abd, Elliott, and Barnett in the squad whoever takes our Set-Pieces (Pack?) will have something to aim at!
  14. Whilst I think this a dangerously poor selection, I'm totally unsurprised by it given SC's comments. He clearly doesn't rate Maloney, and is shoehorning Osborne into the side following El Abd's arrival. I think it's likely El Abd would have been basically guaranteed First Team football. Reid can't play two games in a week, so is "rested". W.Elliott is 35 and likely can't play two games in a week, so is saved for Saturday when he'll have trained with our squad a bit. M.Elliott and Pack are selected to "toughen us up" in midfield a little bit. I don't think it will work personally, but I reckon that's the theory. For what it's worth I think Marv gets a bit of unfair stick from some. He'll be energetic and break up or disrupt their play, although we all know he can't really pass for toffee. i don't think JET being left out is anything other than being rested, as others have said, if a serious bid had come in he wouldn't be in the squad. We'll miss his creativity/goals/assists and the space he creates for others. I think the whole selection is SC trying to make us a little more physical, which of course has meant we'll sacrifice creativity. Set pieces are our best bet for a goal.
