  1. Also I wonder if Testemetanu and Sebok played against each other while they were both here.
  2. Magnússon scored for Iceland against an Ireland side that had COD come on as a substitute. 2017.
  3. Derrick Williams scored for Ireland tonight, too.
  4. Absolutely incredible. Thanks very much. Did you have to put in the hard yards for those or does your stat program work it all out for you? So we've been really unsettled across all five at the back. If all were available, does LJ know his best selection, or does he even have one? I suspect it's horses for courses. Having at least a part settled back line would improve things, but we've had problems all across. I expect Kalas will be a steady selection and the way that Williams has been playing he'd be in there too. Rowe has done very well in an unfamiliar position. Moore seems to be the one sacrificed if we change to a 4, which has seemed unfair to me at times. Baker has done well for the most part but I'd never lay money on him finishing a game. I'd be interested to know how many games Wright has actually be available for, I like him but I think he's probably done here.
  5. A proper leader. Vocal, encouraging and leads by example. We've needed one for a long time.
  6. I'd be interested to know how many minutes our most frequent back line has played together. I'd bet it's not many. I don't even think I could name it. Rowe & Moore are the only two I'd be sure on.
  7. Is Tinman so one footed that he can only develop left footed players
  8. If our midfield problems continue into the new year, is a recall for Morrell an option?
  9. And injury-ravaged is the key term here. Totally scuppered by missing players. Diedhiou's suspension and needing to rest Massengo does not help. Should we be looking at available midfielders on a short term basis?
  10. Wouldn't be surprised to see both 3-5-2 and the diamond at different points on Sunday.
  11. I think it is hard for us to establish an identity when we are missing so many first choice players. This is a patchwork team and it is remarkable that we have done so well this season.
  12. Given our current midfield issues, presuming it's possible I'd suggest recalling Morrell in January.
  13. Is the game shown on the TVs in the concourses? Are people just watching the last couple of minute on those and then making a dash for the exit? Bet there's a fair few gutted they wanted to miss the traffic last night.

Absolutely, yes. (Just meant first half in the above post). Do you think that was down to the change of shape?

There was improvement, sure, but not enough for my liking. And also a vast vast improvement on his appearance against Reading(?). He has some physical attributes that will stand him in good stead as he develops but he needs some coaching on how to read the game, for large parts of the game he just looked lost. Weimann wasn't great, but he was the one trying to lead the line and initiate a press. Perhaps I am less critical of him due to his effort level, he is consistently one of our hardest workers. I would be looking for a League One loan for Semenyo in January, provided we can fill the home grown quota with someone else, and then look to bring him back in around the first team next season. Apologies for detailing the thread. I liked the look of Rodri and I'd start him alongside Weimann with Palmer in behind them on Sunday if we feel we can get at least an hour or so out of Rodri.

I think that's very rose-tinted. He looked well out of his depth. The game passed him by.
  17. Has he played many games elsewhere? He plays like he has experience.
  18. I wish they'd block the view of the game from the South Stand.
  19. I expect Rowe was thought to have been cover for midfield as well, but obviously is occupied elsewhere.
  20. There's some poor stuff in there and he's clearly devoid of confidence but he really isn't helped by some atrocious defending there either.
  21. What has Tommy Rowe done to offend you so much?
  22. Yes - as per the following text that was originally on Leedscityfc.org (but is now a dead link - although it's should be viewable via this link: https://web.archive.org/web/20091013174715/http://www.leedscityfc.org/content/view/100/ ) "Hewison later became Bristol City manager, and became embroiled in another illegal payments scandal. On 15 October 1938, another joint Football Association and Football League inquiry into payments made to amateur players fined Bristol City 100 guineas and suspended Hewison until the end of the season."
