  1. Don’t know how to post a link but an open letter from Alf has just dropped on sag chat. Well worth a read.
  2. Imagine Max Bird will receive the usual treatment.
  3. Bit of a blur but I seem to remember a penalty shoot out at Fellows Park (87/88?) to determine the replay venue after we had drawn the two legged final with Walsall……………we lost!
  4. Didn’t Max save a pen at Villa?
  5. Great stuff as always Jerseybean. We sure owe Nuno one….did we ever get a point from Wolves in his time there? Oh, and he pissed off AD!
  6. Before segregation, I recall the gas mob snapping off one of the flag poles at the back of that terrace during a Gloucester cup game!
  7. Tried to sing that to Funky Gibbon at first!
  8. He did the Sheffield United cup game a couple of seasons back also on bbc1.
  9. Well, with JP on comms there’s a good chance that Gerry Gow gets a mention.
  10. Sorry been busy……. Left Bristol 20 years ago. Fond memories of some great city days out.
  11. Saw a couple of comments from their forum likened Cam to Julian Dicks. High praise indeed from them.
  12. Strange that, I stand corrected. I managed to watch the game on tv but left the RB (on BBC Sounds) pre match on as a back up and it broadcast the whole game. Also listened to Norwich gas game the day before and previous city fa cup ties the same way. Sure Norn Iron started a thread yesterday complaining about OS audio of the game. Anyway the very best of luck with the complaint.
  13. I share your pain mate, I too subscribe to live audio commentary and the service is very hit and miss. Worth bearing in mind though that FA cup games are not subject to the same restrictions as league games and are broadcast live on Radio Bristol online.
  14. Seven stars maybe can’t remember! Always a meeting point for a trip to Eastville. The Gin palace also.
  15. What…you reckon there’s a coach two?
  16. Uncanny Redkev, I too remember Sausage (Soss) from this time, went to college with one of his mates, Hartcliffe boys. In fact several of your posts have resonated with me recently particularly getting a bit of a shoeing at Oxford!
