    You love to see it.

    They’re slowly dying.

Reckon they’ll still go ahead with their plans for their main stand this summer?

    No, me neither.

I really wish they would hurry up!

Nasty little tinpot piss stain of a club

    Anyone willing to own up?

There’s always City fans waiting for them outside. Just like in 2014 when Rovers lost 1-0 to Rovers Away Kit and were flushed out of the football league.

Their darkest hour and all they could think about was Ted’s.

Only by some of the loonies!!

@LSNagain posted earlier in the thread that they didn’t like, straight away replies were “what’s your issue with it”? and “#triggered”. Seems clear to me those were posted to work an angle into putting a label on the original poster.

The real stupidity is in the arguments themselves.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and thoughts and no amount of arguing from an alternative viewpoint will ever change that.

Media has created this nonsense and arguing about it on a Football Forum of all places makes me chuckle.

Football supporters are probably the Number 1 target for the Media to cause division in society. They love triggering the ‘passion’.

As football fans we are all skinhead, far right, racist, drunken hooligans intent on causing needless violence by default in the eyes of the Media.

Those shit houses have tried to pay drunken England fans to start fighting at International tournaments, so they can film and report on it to push their narrative.

    Just chill 😎

Looks like theres a few who walk among us on here that sadly would.

I don’t think they would. I think they would be as outraged as those who are as outraged about this particular issue. It’s simply a different threshold of tolerance.

They say they are angry it happened when in fact they are glad as it’s a chance for them to be fake angry again

Whataboutery again. The flag hasn’t been changed to the Welsh flag so this comparison is stupid

    It’s not a stupid question.

I am not triggered at all by it to be quite frank, but I do understand why some might be unhappy about it and it’s no different to the arguments about changing the Bristol City club badge and the ‘Splat Robin’.

The whole fabric of football is based on a sense of identity and belonging, otherwise why bother supporting anyone? Why bother with football full stop? Why not cheer the opposition when they score?

Whilst personally I don’t think there is any intention other than a bit of funky design I get why some might not like it. It certainly doesn’t mean that they must be therefore ‘far right extremists’. It’s simply personal preference.

Actually we both did them a grave mis-service ;) The official figure was 126 taken from their 'guess the crowd' thread on GasChat.

I for one can only apologise for besmirching their good name.

Man City fans can only bow down at this sort of following.

The other 51 decided that they’d rather stay in the Man Bar

Brian Tinnion - nah, no way he can be being groomed as CEO.  CEO isn’t a role for someone with “football experience”.  It’s a “whole of football business” role, not just football - the playing and recruitment side.  It’s completely the wrong role for Tins, nor is he remotely qualified.  Would be as ludicrous a decision as you could make.

So it’s likely to happen then @Davefevs 🤣

In boxing parlance fighting off the back foot is being a counter puncher. Fighting off the front foot is being the aggressor, taking the fight to the opponent.

I take it that when JL was telling us we would have front foot football it was a reaction to NP's counter attacking style and telling us we would have a manager who took the game to the opponents and controlled the game rather than NP's style of absorbing opponent's play and exploiting holes created to hit quickly on the counter.

Straight away we saw that Manning was trying to turn us into a possession based side who would control matches and (in theory but not practice) create more chances and goals from that dominance  Front foot football grabbing the game by the nuts and turning that authority into goals.

I apologise if these stats have been used before but I have looked through the stats of every single league game played under Manning, 23 to date.

On 8 occasions Bristol City have had more possession than their opponents. The return from those games is 2 draws and 6 defeats. 3 goals scored and 10 against.

All 7 wins have come with City having less possession. Thus not playing possession football, playing the tactics employed by Nigel Pearson.

It is as plain and stark as that. The fact LM is still in his post isn't due to the implementation of his tactics, one of the reasons given for ditching NP, but because of falling back (whether by accident or design) on the tactics NP favoured.

I know plenty on here have stated that, and I apologise if these same stats have been used elsewhere. I just thought it was worthwhile spelling out the obvious and backing them up with the plain and simple facts.

We beat Southampton with less possession and everyone was happy according to Tins, so well done Nige 👍🏻

So in a sport of passion and opinions certain tools who love their own opinions only, not to mention welsh-sounding names and auto-signatures so full of self-importance, certain  posters wish to 'silence' the views of others; if that's attempts at marxism or dictatorship on a football forum, then crack on Jack. I actually like one or two of your hundreds of comments but not the ones trying to silence others nor those implying anyone who doesnt hate the current manager, have pics of Pearson on their walls etc must be employed by B.S. Growing up would be good for you.

Isn’t silencing the views of others the intention of your original post?

One big problem I have with Manning is the impression that he does what he does for Manning. If he was successful here he’d be off at the drop of a hat for a bigger gig.
Pearson had nothing to prove and did what he believed best for the greater good of everyone. A leader of men.
How can a bloke who’s achieved the total sum of bugger all in his career really tell , for example, Premier League winners James and King how to play football ?
Or give enough confidence to the youngsters that they will succeed with his coaching ?

Massive cock up from our owner. Bullet meet foot.

I think it was more bullet meet head!

  11. Too late.

I would have taken him a few years back to get us up out of the Championship and I think he could have achieved that.

The Premier League is a different ball game and I wouldn’t have backed him there.

Instead we threw money at someone who managed to be sacked twice in a season within the same year - Lee Johnson.

Now we’ve got another manual swallower with less personality but equally as frustrating.

I've been saying for a long time that they don't realise how good they had it with Pearson. They will struggle to find another manager who was is so willing to blood academy players because most managers simply care about their records.

Pearson was a very rare exception in that he cared about the club more than he cared about his own record.

The club blindly thought that because Manning once coached in an academy he'd be perfect for the role. What they didn't consider was the fact that Manning would not want to risk his record by blooding academy players.

We're already seeing him setting us up to not lose to protect his job so it's incredibly unlikely we'll ever see him blood academy players for the same reason.

I realised it when Nige took the job. I was pinching myself at the time because I couldn’t believe what a coup it was!

When he accepted blooding youngsters too I felt he deserved a new contract and given some money as a reward. Instead he got the sack and I tore my hair out in frustration as to the stupidity of the decision.

That was me done with the Lansdown’s and I’m watching from afar until they’re gone.
