  1. I wish our own club was quite so "tinpot" in the Prem particularly as we have a larger ground than a number in the Premier League.
  2. My school trips were so much less well organised- we never walked in an orderly line and I didn't even see an adult with them- fair play Wigan junior fans.
  3. Hopefully Man City will be charged with spunking £100 million on Jack Grealish. If that isn't a crime against all known rules of logic and decency in football then I dont know what is. It makes MA's previous suggestion that permanently signing Diony could be the biggest transfer fee in BCFC history look entirely sensible.
  4. 9 points away from danger. Brilliant result away at Preston and nowt else matters.
  5. On the contrary- what is due to Caesar will be paid to Caesar. I'll think you'll find that the duty of the CEO is the financials/contracts and the duty of the coach is predominantly about getting results/progress on the pitch. As and when that is clear, consistent and beyond doubt then the large number of fans/supporters/people/press who have, like me, questioned where it's been going will no doubt give Nige the credit he deserves.
  6. The key to any possible momentum surrounds the financial black hole which was crystallised by the pandemic which basically de-railed the entire business plan.Gould has done an amazing job of bringing down the wage bill/ structure and guiding the club away from an FFP breach /points deduction. This in turn has has given NP a greater freedom than was previously afforded to him. The long term benefit of and investment in the academy is paying off as well. Perhaps the most positive result will be SL's engagement with his club- he clearly has had a serious rethink about his involvement and ownership but there's nothing more powerful than upwards momentum to get anyone enthused again including us fans. It's been pretty grim on and off the pitch for over a couple of years and has only started to look like there's light at the end of the tunnel in January 2023. It's been a very long month.
  7. @Graham c Poor old Graham- virtually every serious post I make results with a confused emoji from you - I guess you're gutted that the aubergine is no longer unavailable. Are you still smarting from the beasting I gave you some time ago? If you are in need of further explanation - why not just man up and have a grown up discussion as opposed to throwing tomatos from the shadows as is your otib trademark? Alternatively make your life easier and put me on ignore? Or are people like you who don't bother to pay £5 to become an OTIB supporter excluded from this option?
  8. An interesting take. Had we managed to get the defender(s) we so desperately need than this would have been "probably" the best Jan in a long time: Unbeaten and edging away from relegation suction , beating WBA , Sam Bell stepping up, the Semenyo sale , the removal of big wage earners to put us on a very sound footing..... and a potential Genie in the lamp along with a proven ready to go quality striker- what an amazing month! I said earlier this season that ( despite my well documented misgivings about Nige) we could as easily get to the play offs as to relegation. Interesting to read this article and see that they feel there's a chance of a play off place. I think Hull were near bottom at Xmas the season they beat us at Wembley. We can but dream yet so long as we stay clear of relegation then we live to fight another day. This team should always have been doing better and now, hopefully, they've found a path to follow. The exciting forwards that have been signed mean that we might well score more goals than we concede and with the entire Division ( bar top 2) so wide open then who knows?
  9. Particularly if they decide just to run down their contract and leave on a free in the Summer 2058
  10. I did, Dave. So I have to admit that I had the sound down. For fear that you were trapping me into watching the full 12 minutes again- I googled it (1.1 secs). It's single double single over 60 yards. Let's stick to FFS, IMO and draw the line at : ? I have enough trauma about your chats and stats presuming that everyone but me understands them. PTSD. Ps I've just found out that on otib you cant write L something L withouth it being changed to "laugh" That's as bad as s a u c e
  11. After looking at the stats /charts/numbers/graphs as you do- a player running up and down an indoor hall with the odd bleeping sound must be positively a white knuckle ride to watch?
  12. I hate to break it to you- yes you do if you don't watch AM's first day on Robins Uncut 055
  13. There's 12 minutes of your life you'll never get back.
  14. You have to feel for the Avon Gorge Hotel- 2 years of pandemic, staffing issues, energy costs and now the HPC
  15. Ah- that explains it. Glad he's not Columbian- we've already got enough snow in the cubicles at BS3.
  16. Watching the vid and I couldn't help notice that it's snowing in virtually every match. Does Wycombe have its own micro climate?
  17. I really wouldn't want to be a goat right now.
  18. Problem for us over the decades is that we absolutely do remember our mediocrity in league games.
  19. Quite right! They also no longer have Aguero and haven't manage to replace him so we're nailed on.
