Palmer is a real talent, but if you’re going to play Foden at No 10 with Bellingham and Rice in central midfield, where do you play Palmer? I suppose he could play on the left of Kane, with Saka on the right, but I can’t see Southgate having guts to pick so many naturally gifted players.

Our attendances are upper mid table, the playing budget is upper mid table and lo and behold are league position is upper mid table. The holy grail is to find a manager who can get the club to over perform by 10 to 15%. I believed Nige was on the way to doing that, the Lansdowns didn’t. Whether under Manning the sum will be greater than the sum of the parts, only time will tell. Personally I don’t think judging him over the next 6 games is particularly helpful. Let him have a full preseason and see how we go between the start of the season and the 2nd international break. Then I believe we can come to some more meaningful conclusions.

Looked a different team tonight without Haaland. Foden as the main man came up with a master class performance.

Despite the defeat, good to see Micky looking chipper. Not the best left back we’ve ever had, but definitely a fan’s favourite. And we got him cheap.

Sincere apologies for being pedantic but they were Vanarama Conference runners up 2014- 2015.

A professional CEO would be nice.

SL take note. You have to speculate to accumulate.

What triggered the sacking of Nige was the sacking of Phil Alexander. All the subsequent events cascaded from the removal of PA and SL allowing his son to take charge. Say No to nepotism.

As I said I hope we play well, I hope we win. It just won’t be the end of the world if we don’t, at least not for me. -

Anything that happens between now and the end of the season is meaningless in comparison to what happens between August and the mid/end of October. That’s when Manning will be truly judged. That’s my POV. -

Win, lose or draw, Manning will be manager at 5pm and he’ll be manager at the start of next season too. Its what happens between then and the second international break that will really matter. All you’re trying to do is build up an end of season bog standard championship game into something it isn't. -

Where’s all this “acid test”, “big game” etc stuff coming from. It’s a fairly meaningless end of season game. Hope we play well, hope we win, but depending on other results, the best we can hope for us to jump up to 11th. Hardly earth shattering stuff. -

More of an Echo Chamber in my opinion. “an environment in which a person encounters only beliefs or opinions that coincide with their own, so that their existing views are reinforced and alternative ideas are not considered. "people are living in partisan and ideological echo chambers"

The type you get when you fart in the bath.

You may well be right, but imho Manning’s number one priority should be getting Matty James to sign a one year extension.

What’s the point of following a football team if you can’t enjoy it when they win? -
Hapgood won 5 league titles and 2 FA Cups with Arsenal. Lloyd won 2 League titles, 2 European Cups, a UEFA cup, a European Super Cup and 2 League Cups. If think it’s fair to say both had illustrious careers.

Birmingham Alabama would be better.

One off game. The final would be at AG in the unlikely event that we win.
