Growing up in the 60s I used to go and watch the reserves play in the Football Combination on the Saturdays we were away. Got in for free most weeks.

The FA youth Cup is hardly a bauble. Chelsea, Man U, Man City and Liverpool are all multiple winners. It would be a huge coup for the club to get to the final, unlikely as it is. Look at the quality of the goals in the 2nd leg of last year’s final

After yesterday’s crucial result and with the pressure off, Win 5 of the last 9 games of the season. A good preseason which is a launch pad to a good start which sees us in and around the top 6 at the end of October. I thought sacking Pearson was the most boneheaded stupid decision the club has made in my lifetime. That said, although Manning doesn’t inspire confidence, I hope for his sake, and ours, he can turn things around and produce a more appetising brand of football.

In my opinion TGH is a talented, hardworking youngman who’s only going to get better.

It was regarding staying in the championship. If we’d lost today our championship future really would have been a lot more precarious. Not getting relegated might not matter to you, but it does to me. It really is.

We won a game we had to win. That’s all that matters.

I’d settle for a 0-0, which would leave us 7 points clear of the drop zone with 9 to play.
