Don’t have the energy or enthusiasm to lay into a team that is clearly down at the moment (sound familiar!). I think blaming the board, manager and team are all right in equal measure, but changing one of those things ain’t gonna make the difference, and changing them all ain’t gonna happen.
So what are the little things that together might make some difference and are actually in the gift of the current set up?
1. If kalas is closest to the ball.. take the long throw. If he is not it’s really not worth it as it gives opposition too much time to settle
2. Matty James (or whoever is taking corners when he isn’t) .. sprint to take it, don’t walk!! Forest did exactly that against us EVERY time and it sent our defence into panic. When we amble over to take it, it gives them too much time to settle.
3. Lets not try the ‘lump it to left’ approach at every kick off
4. Play with some clever aggression. Make it clear that losing every challenge, header, sprint matters.
5. Pearson… watch from the sideline be the authoritative defender we need at moment
6. Lansdown, say something. We don’t just need your financial support, we need to see your passion.
they are little things that I am sure would improve us without demanding anybody’s job, without scapegoating any individual and without demanding someone empties their wallet.
any other suggestions of small changes that would bring the belief back to us fans, who by the way should remember that after Holden, were screaming for Pearson in the main.
We will lose more games but if passion is shown fans will be right behind the team
