  1. Is there a stream? This could be a grin to watch
  2. I have a recollection of Football trying to introduce the "immediately retreat 10 yards" legislation. It didn't last 10 minutes as the Argentines claimed they couldn't understand it. Oddly The Pumas do
  3. dont really understand the ag about Blades to be honest. I spent some time in Sheffield in my younger days and United Fans always liked to portray themselves as the working class club and Wednesday as the middle class club. I watched a few games from their Kop End and was always made to feel quite welcome by the locals.
  4. It's probably just me but why oh why do they have to repeat FTG after every Facebook post, text to 20man etc. I just find it weird...like a load of Parrots. Edited cod I originally wrote FTG
  5. The Fruitcake stadium or The Big Top does it for me
  6. Reading given six-point deduction for breaching EFL business plan - BBC Sport
  7. Different circumstances but I remember a game against Leeds in the 70s.....as the fog came down...and got thicker and thicker. Game abandoned at Half Time. Hunter was having a great time...fouling a Leeds player, a blast of the refs whistle and Norman disappeared into the fog (again). Ref couldn't find Hunter so no point in booking him.
  8. think he turned out for Leicester too. Guess what happened next
  9. Top of the Championship then ? As for The Gas... well they recycle their Fanta I guess
  10. I was sure Shaun Penny would be a regular in the first team and he'd be scoring goals for fun.
  11. my first game was City v Fulham (November 71). City lost 2-1 which set me up nicely to have low expectations. Promotion season was terrific, our stay in the Top Flight too short, and the downhill spiral dramatic. The climb back toward an established Tier 2 Club was gradual. As I recall it, there was a gap of 65 years from previous top flight football to the promotion season in the 70's. I pray its not another 65 years before we're back
  12. I was once a regular viewer. Now I just watch the EFL Highlights. I'll watch all the Championship games and turn over (unless The Gas have had an embarrassing result)
  13. I was at Wolves the day JJ and their manager had to be pulled apart. 60 ?
  14. A scrap on the touchline would liven up a dull game
  15. I live a life of radical honesty,” Barton said. “It’s my way of charting through the world. We’ll all end up in the ground or on a bonfire at some point and you’ve got to travel through the world making the best of it as you see fit. Made I laugh
  16. as I recall it, Derby used to have a shocking pitch at The Baseball Ground, but Cloughie turned it to his advantage. Come to think of it, Forests pitch could be pretty ropey too... and look what happened to them
  17. not long after that Keith Weller tried his luck....and tore Speedy another new one
