  1. When asked about anymore new faces coming in before the end of the window particularly a striker, he said that there wasn't as much of an urgency now to bring someone in as Matty Taylor is back running quicker than anticipated. Now don't get me wrong he didn't rule it out completely and also came out with the usual must fit into the group line, but please tell me we are not going to miss another oppertunity to kick on by not going for it. Famara needs competition for his place and it's not Matty Taylor who is an off the bench with 20 minutes to go impact player.
  2. Jesus mate I corrected that within a minute of posting. Are you by anychance a school teacher
  3. I was in the section along the side of the main stand. One thing I can clearly remember Is that large banana they inflated before the game with Forest Fyfe City Nil on it behind the open end at Forest as they thought they would stuff us.
  4. Millwall and Everton 5.30pm on tv, now that shouldl be worth a watch.
  5. Yes I just noticed that on sky as well, I wonder how many others.
  6. It does make you wonder if they will last to the end of the season.
  7. They should of been buying him in January for £1m all part of the initial loan deal
  8. From Monday morning, Christian Doidge is back with FGR. We've taken the decision to recall him after his loan agreement expired last week amid continual contractual breaches by Bolton Wanderers. It became clear to us that Bolton entered into a contract to loan and then buy Christian last August without the means to honour it, and perhaps the intention to do so as well. They haven't even paid his wages for the last four months (we have). It's not just FGR that have been let down badly by Bolton, but Christian too. Bolton's Chairman, Ken Anderson, made a lot of promises on the last day of the transfer window, both to Christian and FGR, and has kept none of them. This is all his work and from talking to Ken he feels immune from the consequences - but some of these promises are written in legally binding contracts, and we'll be pursuing them. When the dust settles, we'll talk to the EFL about how they regulate clubs like Bolton. They already regulate the club to a degree, controlling all TV monies to make sure that football debts get paid. Hard not to wonder whether the league could also have a role in approving the terms of any contracts entered into - to make sure that they are actually within the means of the club. We had no way to know, but the EFL should have the inside view on that. And finally (for now...) - Disappointing as it is to see this go pear shaped, both for FGR and Christian, I'm also excited by the prospect of the second half of the season with Christian back with us. I'm sure all FGR fans everywhere will join me in welcoming him back How much longer can they survive?
  9. My memory tells me that Chelsea were given the whole of the open end in that FA cup match ?
  10. Counting people that can't be bothered to go because the entertainment is shyte . Empty red seats everywhere again today.
  11. 52 yrs old and been to about 75 grounds but gutted to say only 15 correct
  12. Thank you Sir. Yep was just trying to add a bit of Christmas humour to the thread.
  13. Didn't see Dopey but bumped straight into Richard Scudamore, looked like he was carrying a few pounds!
  14. Wrong HIs worst game before today was Stoke City, gave the ball away three times looked poor and was hauled off at half time.
  15. I think it was more about the races incident and the Bristol sport image than his quality
  16. Who's doing the draw out of the velvet bag this week?
  17. Yes boring and my opinion was shared by a lot of people around me in the ground as well. If you read the op it does state that I witnessed the performance yesterday, along with every home game and probably a third of all away games every year. If you are happy to watch that constant sideways and back passing than fair play to you but personally I'm not. I have always thought that the Bristol City team i have followed for about 40 yrs have always tried to play a bit of football, but this is non entertaining garbage.
  18. Thanks for that reply cowshed, some good points there. All I can respond with is that we must still be at the pedestrian stage.I Cheers
  19. Agree with most of your comments and horses for course springs to mind, my issues is that this is the norm now and it certainly shouldn't be at home as the Millwall game proved.
