  1. I've recently been working with a bloke who used to play for Dagenham, Luton, Chesterfield and Peterborough and has now finished his playing career at 33 after 17 yrs in the game. While chatting I asked him which team he followed and his reply shocked me tbh. I don't support a football team he said and I only got into football because I was told I was good at it but it's something I've never realy got to excited about. Personally I'd have given anything to have done what he did for 17 yrs.
  2. states in that guide that Drinking is not allowed in public places in Bristol. what about the match wall ?
  3. If you end up at the George before the game let me know and I will meet for a beer
  4. I know a guy who's son runs the George at Newmarket. Decent proper pub out of the way of the football crowd on the day but still walkable to the ground, although you got to walk up the famous hill !
  5. No Swindon to far away and to get to Stroud you have to go up to Gloucester and change.
  6. I live 5 miles from Forest Green and was thinking about your options if you cannot get a lift. from Bristol, Nailsworth where Forest Green play is not blessed with transportation links. Train from Temple meads to Cam (Dursley) then hire a people carrier to Forest Green could be one option.
  7. Where are you travelling to Forest Green from, Bristol ?
  8. Oh dear god that did make me laugh, especially the bit where he banged his knee.
  9. I for one am desperately hoping that we have someone lined up to come in to give us all a lift.
  10. Still trying to work out how that goal was given to him tbh major, if it hits the bar and comes back then goes in off the goalie then that's an Og isn't it?
  11. Spot on mate Joe and Flinter always chipped with vital goals and some good ones as well. Bobby's tremendous season last year with all them goals can't see players coming in repeating that tbh.
  12. As it is looking more than likely that Joe will be on his way, will the board be showing some intent by bringing in some new faces before dead line. After the Forest game I was hoping that there would be at least one more quality signing coming in as I worry about our attack, especially the next five games without Famara. If Joe leaves and no more players arrive then like many others I will be extremely fed up as this will show no ambition what so ever. So don't let us down Jon and Mark, see if you can steal Tammy for another year and a bit of experienced cover for Lloyd will be good.
  13. Parking is going to be awfull this season but I'm looking forward to Blackburn game on a Sunday when I can park up in that bloody RPZ while flashing the Vs out the window.
  14. Shaun Taylor wasn't to bad mind
  15. Why would he move to your lot. Your mob got no money and your chairman is more interested in race horses which is keeping you lot where you belong, below Oxford and on a par with FGR.
  16. 2900 is plenty. Have you forgotten the racket nearly 4000 Leeds fans made last year? I was convinced limiting Manure to 2900 helped us towards our victory.
  17. And quite a few follow the Glos as well
  18. yes good shout that man. Released in 2008 by the Blue few after not gaining a youth scholarship
  19. Apparently ChristIan Doige won't sign a new contract at FGR and is a transfer target for Bristol Rovers. Would be a good signing if they get him.
