  1. I had a rather embarresing situation with Tony Alcock one night. I was in a very nice pub near to where we live a bit worse for wear for cider when I went for a pee. A bloke come and stood next to me and I looked at him and said hey your Tony Alcock while I was pissing on his Hush Puppies! He wasn' pleased
  2. Be usefully if you could upload the photo of the deleted tweet as this thread is getting a bit silly now.
  3. Lets face it anyone in the squad is up for sale if the price is right. There ain't much loyalty in this mad game anymore and with the crazy money being paid these days for average players who can blame them for making a few quid while they can. This is the time of year where agents start rumours to get their players in the public eye to see if they can get them that big move. The only loyalty in the game is the paying public like us in afraid.
  4. Tammy on loan to Derby then next year
  5. If evidence shows him guilty why are the club backing him ? If he's guilty the club should come down on him heavy and make the dirty swine suffer as this is the lowest of the low.
  6. Coventry City v Macclesfield final game of the season. Coventry need a point to be sure of a play off place and keep Mansfield out. Macclesfield need a point to stay in the league above Barnet with a better goal difference of seven goals. I wonder, shades of 40 odd years ago!
  7. I will just going round to fill the motor up.
  8. That's good I'm pleased for you. All the best.
  9. If you are happy to see defenders constantly knocking long balls to a target man that can barely get off the ground let alone run then fair play to you but it's not my cup of tea.
  10. Quality reply that. I take it you enjoyed the brand of football that was dished up last night.
  11. Yes we got the three points last night which I was very pleased about but lets face it the style of play at times was pretty poor. Constantly bye passing the midfield with long balls from back to front to a target man with absolutely no pace at all. I'm not sure how Birmingham managed to miss some of those chances but thank god they did. Johnson out
  12. I was there watching this tonight as it is only five miles from home. .The young lads played some really nice football tonight which was a tonic for me after witnessing Brentford and Millwall recently. Some lads that caught my eye were Tyreeq Bakinson who is big and strong in centre midfield. Captain Harvey Smith at centre half who looks a tough boy and Rory Holden who is very comfortable in midfield. Marcus Day was also full of running and deserved to be clapped off when replaced late on. Goal keeper JoJo Wollacott made two fine saves a header in the first two minutes low down and a one in one late on. An enjoyable evening for £3. Names given above come from a photo copied team sheet so I hope they were correct.
  13. We thought about that one opposite the station but some young uns outside were giving us a good look up and down so we wandered further on down, unfortunately though it was my shout and three pints of strong lager was £15.30
  14. Three of us had a beer around borough market before the game and got the train to the ground at about 2.15ish from memory. Lots of police standing around but didn't see any escort. Mind you that area before the game is certainly somewhere you could come unstuck if you were unlucky.
  15. No we will always have those cup memories, especially beating Aldershot away in the previous round was incredible. The club will rebuild and go again with a dedicated group of helpers behind the scenes but probably never to this level.
  16. A little but the they never have been a well supported club , held together by a few families really. Another issue is the pricing at that level , I personally find £9 scandelous
  17. Yes mate. Made a decision last summer to stop paying silly money at players who really dont care to much about the club and try and keep it to local younger players which is why they are struggling a bit. Now the major sponsor of the club who has been brilliant for many years is stepping down at the end of the season so it was time to act for the future of the club.
  18. Sadly my beloved Shortwood United who currently lye fourth bottom of this league have had to take the brave decision to resign from the league at the end of the season. 118 yrs of history must be protected and the fa have been contacted for guidance as to what league they will be playing in next year. All of this just 5 yrs after playing Port Vale live on BT in the face cup.
  19. Following on from my post a week ago, if Bristol Sport give the blades the whole Atyeo for the last game of the season and potentially deprive City fans the chance of tickets then they should be ashamed of themselves.
  20. Yes they definitely would, I can here that chip butty song ringing out now
  21. Surely we are not intending to give the blades the whole Atyeo for the last home game of the season. Just seen on the official site that the tickets are starting to go on sale for home sections and it looks like the whole Atyeo has been ear marked for away fans. I though we would of learnt our lesson after Leeds and Wolves made it like a home game for the visiting teams and restricting Man Utd and City certainly helped us. If we are still in the mix at the end this will be a big mistake.
  22. I was there watching the game and was disappointed Shawn didn't get brought on sooner tbh. Did what he had to with his headed goal but dear god how bad are Forest Green at the moment.
  23. Up in Tetbury, bound to be controversy and a rematch
