  1. I think he knows a thing or two about goalkeepers ……
  2. This is why Semenyo was brought back "Having discussed it with Steve and Mark Ashton we thought it was right as a group to bring him back and have a good look at him for six months," explained Johnson. There is work to do to polish the diamond. "He's excellent outside the box but he needs to work inside the box and on getting across players, on that instinct to score goals," said Johnson. "But we believe we have a raw talent there who can be brilliant for Bristol City."

    Eliasson.

    Tinman wasn't too shabby either!!
  4. For me, there's a hint of a young Ole Solskjaer about him … have a look at some of the early videos on youtube
  5. Telling comment when he said he was focussed on coaching and leaving the recruitment process to MA and others. He would start to get involved later. Makes me think he has been trying to do everyone else's job, and not focussed on his own!
  6. Walsh 20. Morrell 21. Brownhill 22. That's why he won't bench Pack.
  7. Yep, and shouldn't forget that 9 of the last 11 seasons we have been a Championship team. We are going in an upward direction, both on and off the field, whereas the likes of Hull, Ipswich, QPR and Reading maybe are not. Takes time and patience to build a challenging and sustainable football club if you can't buy success (Wolves) - ask Brighton, Burnley.
  8. Yes but 3 players stood in front of him meant he couldn't have seen the ball until very late. He is very reliable with the basics.
  9. Could this be a consequence of our high-tempo, high-pressing game? I recall the same question being asked of Liverpool last season.
  10. And we've had a few mentions on there in the last couple of months.
  11. Man City section reduced capacity
  12. Think it might have been 68/69 as they were 1st Div in season before. It was 6-0.
  13. This thread is in danger of morphing into Friends Reunited ... oh wait .... whatever happened to that ....
  14. Remember school basketball match. Keith Fear on one side, David Rodgers the other. Merrywood v Cotham. Played alongside Kevin Mabbutt. He was in the first team a good 3 years younger than anyone else. And whilst on the subject, school v Old Boys at cricket featured A Milton, J Mortimore and D Allen (and his brother I think).
