I’m glad I’m not the only one . The one tthat gets me the most is the people who love Bobby Reid who’s from Bristol but supports Liverpool and jumped ship at the first chance possible to Cardiff , such a tinpot mentality from our fan base .

He's not the first and he won't be the last. Proud Bristolian Bobby Reid jumped ship as soon as he could. Why on earth do we care about humans who don't give a shit about the collective at Bristol City? For me, anyone who has left Bristol City for greener pastures should be the arch-nemesis, yet we consistently lump them amongst our heroes - what bizarre pathology has befallen us where we gladly wish the success of former players at better clubs?

I'm friendly with Joe Jordan as it goes, and recently he spoke about the same thing. Pathetic adoration of what will be a footnote in the history of our proud club.

Legends are ignored, people who don't give a shit about the club are anointed as heroes.

    Pathetic.

I don’t mean to offend but why does anyone care about Marlon pack . He left and went to the only rivals we’ve had for the last 20 odd years . I don’t think you’d find another club who would keep ranting on about ex players who left them to go to a rival club ( for example Bobby Reid and pack) .

Completely agree. We have this insane fascination with ex-players who don't care about us, and do little for those who actually love the club. Marlon Pack was a good player for us, played for the Welsh, now plays for a club with nowt to do with us.

From Scott to Semenyo we seem satisfied with players going on to better things after playing for us, but also want ex-players who we know aren't good enough for City to do well. I hate it, it's a weak mentality. Hope we batter the shit out of them when we meet them next year.

Well, I've made my feelings on Gambas clear in the past!

Question is, did you have the fried aubergine with molasses and/or goxua dessert? Two of the finest dishes in Bristol!

Had both funnily enough as part of 9 dishes, but the pulpo a la Gallega octopus and tortita de camarones blew my little mind, especially the latter. Genuinely never eaten anything like that in the UK. Wine list is also extremely good, my Mrs has no interest in wine but she loved everything, La Mar 2021 and Samerias 2018 in particular. Top gaff that.

    Totally agree.

The glory surrounding the bears has diminished as recruitment up to the salary cap has for a few years been crap.

Even if a success, the english game is a mess so who would want to pick that up?

    Basketball........

Lansdown needs to split it all, give City control of the stadium(s) and Bears and flyers long leases at peppercorn rents either selling or keeping those jewels.

Oh, and that means 100% Sir Ego not someone shelling out tens of millions to have you and yours meddling.

I'm one of the few that genuinely think bulking it all under the umbrella of Bristol Sport is a good thing IF (enormous if ofc) you have a dedicated investor willing to employ the best in each field and make Bristol a sporting powerhouse. I think that was SL's ambition, I truly think HE thinks he's gone after the best and brightest in all of those fields, as misguided as he is on the football side. Pat Lam is a real name, but less said about the football side the better. I do think his hearts in the right place with it though.

Fair play, the sort of " newcomers" the uk couldnt do without.

Got to be honest, I do love hearing stories about immigrants making a life for themselves in the UK like this lady has done, oddly more so when they're from Commonwealth countries.

Great to see. I must admit I kept expecting a couple of players to turn up to see him. But looks like he had a good day. Good on you Ivor.

Joe Williams jumping out of the Heineken Lounge and running the length of the pitch to fly through him and his walker.

Kevin had a talent that was exciting to watch. As others have said, the unfortunate car crash changed things.

Good to know Kevin is still involved in some way re fitness.

    That's a long chant

My brain was adjusting for the filter and making me think it was navy blue, but according to the BBC article it IS purple!

A case of over-stylised photography leaving us not able to be sure what it actually looks like.

Even the filter in the above looks a bit like a navy blue rendered purple?

Not opposed to a purple away kit, break from tradition and pretty cool and interesting. Yellow nike logo and three lions maybe?

Definitely not ideal that we can't tell now!
