  1. Would be funny if Frank came in and won the Champions League a bit like Tuchal did when he came in for Frank!
  2. I'm not saying that I want to go back to the days of Vinnie Jones type tackles as they are reckless, but I would love to return to the days when players took it all as part of the game and actively didn't react to bad challenges or even not so bad challenges in the case of Kane last night, note the tackle on Cantona is criminal but Cantona is up quicker than Vinnie Jones! This would not happen now
  3. He went down to help ensure the red card nothing more nothing less, he didn't lose the use of his legs because of the pain in his eyes! Personally I agree it's a red, but I don't agree with Kanes reaction to get a player sent off, it's cheating, everyone knows it, the question is whether you think it's justified and would you be happy if a City player did the same?
  4. A basket case of a club who has had major success for the last 20 years with multiple managers!
  5. It's all very well they might go bust but I'm pretty sure they will stay up!
  6. This might help a bit, not sure what period it's over but it's something!
  7. Whatever devision they were scored in, an unbelievable record, surprised he didn't get a move to top flight with those stats
  8. His name is Case-Grande he's a safe pair of hands Just like our Max O'Leary he's the best in all the land
  9. This england stats website is great, look at Owens top 10 England team mates based on appearances, not a bad line up!
  10. I think Kane scored with 18 penalties out of those 54 England goals.
  11. If Owen would have stayed fit he would have beaten the record (49 at that time) I think, he was unreal when he came on the scene, another qualifying campaign and tournament would have seen him very close. He was done with England by the age of 28 and scored his last England goal in 2007 age 27! https://www.englandstats.com/player.php?pid=1086
  12. I find when sitting in the Lansdown the atmosphere is good as you can really take in the rest of the grounds atmosphere from that vantage point, even if there isn't any atmosphere actually created from the Lansdown itself if that makes sense
  13. I worked with a women a few years back who had a false leg, and she used to book extra leg room seats on a plane, sounds fair enough, but she was only 5ft tall! ?
  14. How tall are you both? The leg room isn't up to much in the Dolman!
  15. I think I can still remember the address (without googling) 4 Old Lock Keepers Cottages London E3 2NN
  16. I still laugh at the Inbetweeners but it's amazing that in such a short space of time, the world has moved on in terms of what is deemed acceptable, and I genuinely think it wouldn't get made now and certainly not in the same way. If you watch Little Britain now it has aged terribly
  17. Along with Big Breakfast, this really was a British show of its time, the 90's were pre internet and mobiles for most people, and i think the 90's really was the end of an era in many ways. Its a shame the collective TV watch by the public has largely disappeared due to streaming etc and we are now engulfed by the same Tv programmes as the rest of the world. Live Breakfast Tv was immense in the 90's!
  18. I think you maybe ignoring a problem that is there, in that we sign a keeper and he leaves after 2 months. He's a keeper by trade so he knows the game in that you have to wait for your chance, and as we went through a good vain of form so he didn't get that chance, then 2 months later he's offski. For me that shows a lack of commitment from him to prove his worth and break into the side, a lack of belief that he could actually get a longer contract, and actually the club weren't bothered either which for me says all we need to know. Those saying he benefitted from being here is all very well, and I'm sure he did, but we arnt a charity. We signed 2 keepers this season, neither of which have worked out, and our other former captain Bentley has left. In anyones book it seems that in terms of keepers we seem to have an issue with recruitment. Dont get me wrong happy with Max he's done well, but he needs a strong number 2 to push him.
  19. You have to question the recruitment of this guy really, seems like a complete waste of a wage for a few months
  20. It's a bit like back in the day, if you were on holiday in Spain or something, you had to wait 2 days for the English newspapers to come out to find out the scores!
  21. To avenge the injury to his father by Man Utd, Haaland spends 20 odd years preparing to become the greatest goal scorer of all time and signs for their bitter rivals Man City to get revenge! Maybe watched too many Rocky films ?
  22. I don't think keeping Kane has really helped them at all, each manager has been almost forced to play Kane I think and that limits options to how you play. Jose has won trophy's at every club he's managed accept for Spurs, that says something to me. Conte is no mug as a manager. Poch was given time and could win anything. They also went through a stage a few seasons back of securing lots of players on long contracts and I think it ended up making too many players way too comfortable with life, nobody is fighting for anything, managers come and go but the players stay. As a club they have won nothing for donkeys years, they have now moved to a new stadium, and as Arsenal will testify, that saps resources and takes a long time to find your feet, regardless of how good the stadium is, I can't see them winning anything until they have a proper reset and change mentality.
  23. I watched a game there back in the 90's! The glory years of you will ?
