Yeah I was thinking that. I guess they wanted to rest midfielders, not defenders though.

Rob Dickie looked like he was blowing out his arse in the first half, he wasn't on it at all, not winning much, passing poor, slow, 2nd half he didn't have anything to do however

Yeboah looks quick and strong which is great, just needs time to work on what options to take

Just for clarification please, is this up to date?

The next SC&T meeting will be the first week in September, if not resolved before then I want to ensure that I am using the correct and latest information please, especially as this is something that I have no experience in

    https://www.asa.org.uk/advice-online/ticket-pricing-1.html

Here is the link, seems to be the latest guidance, certainly from Nov 2021 from what I can see, I just checked our website and when you book the tickets it says the price including fee, but I don't know if they have advertised anywhere the 'tickets from £10' line?  I assume from some comments that they have, which is in breach as misleading.  Can you tell I'm a Head of Internal Audit? ?

    Correct it is misleading

This was actually brought up with Phil Alexander and Dave Barton at the meeting the other week

    Two bits I can feed back ;

Phil said that the club were currently looking into whether these additional charges are common around other football clubs, and he would be reporting back as soon as the checks were complete

It was asked why any additional cost couldn't be included in the advertised price, using your example above Phil stated that the ticket would show £10 though and people would question the difference in cost - the ticket could show the included amount on the home tickets but obviously wouldn't on the away ticket

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) Code rule 3.18 states that all quoted prices must include non-optional taxes, duties, fees and charges that apply to all or most buyers. If a booking fee is not optional, ticket prices must be stated inclusive of any booking fee, unless the booking fee cannot be calculated in advance.

I would argue that the booking fee is not optional (I.e. you have to pay it regardless of whether you print at home or get a print copy), so should always form part of the price advertised and not be tagged on, so if the club advertised tickets for tonight's game as 'from £10' then they would be in breach.

Is it in Robins TV ?

Not sure but it is only £10 a ticket (plus fee) and there are nearly all of the tickets left by the look of it when I booked last night, pick any seat you like!

  5. Shame there is not a legit ticket exchange system in place, I've used Dice before for music gigs, where if a gig is sold out but you want a ticket, you register and get added to a waiting list, then if somebody can't make the gig the next person on the waiting list is contacted and has x amount of time to purchase the ticket from the person who can no longer go, if you don't take up the option it goes to the next on the list, if you do you pay the face value and this goes to the seller directly.  It works really well and stops ticket touts over charging

I love the bloke and think we're so lucky to have him here. I wanted him to replace Johnson

I think it's easy for outsiders (and some fellow fans) to look at league positions and think not much has changed, but the few games I went to last year were some of the best City games I've seen since the Playoff Season and the Cup run season. Even the games we lost (Norwich) or threw away late on (Blackpool) were entertaining games and I felt it was worth the money.

I wanted him to replace SC!  There was a game live on sky I think and they showed that NP was in the crowd and I think coming in then with that strong of players would have been great

My memories on Fb from this day in 2012 show we played them and beat them 3-0, however the interesting thing is the comment I made that they had their stadium approved before us, so I assume that's referring to the UWE?

And playing with a wooden leg ( sorry, no offence to any amputees out there)

I used to work with a women with a prosthetic leg, and she would tell us that she would book extra leg room seats on a flight, which I could never quite work out as she was only 5ft tall!

I strongly suspect the Mayor will just wave this through retrospectively.

The new stand won't increase their capacity by so much that parking/amenities will be adversely affected, surely? And although it's a bigger tent than the one its replacing, I don't think it will impact the houses behind that much - and I'm not sure that's even still a thing these days, "right to light" being a thing of the past (I think).

Re: right to light no longer being a thing, does that mean we could build a bigger stand to replace the Atyeo?  I always thought the issue was right to light?

  10. It's amazing how unsympathetic some people can be and not just football.

My father in law in 2015 out of the blue got a brain tumour stage 4 and had 6 months tops, I started a new job in the middle of this and my manager was fully aware of the situation.  When he died we knew it was imminent so I WFH for a few days so I could be there for my wife.

After he died (on the Monday that week) I called my manager an hour or so after after to say I wouldn't be in the rest of the week as my wife needed me, and I assumed I would get compassionate leave, and instead my manager was annoyed and she said to me that he's not close family so I will have to take the time as unpaid. I said I'll take it as sick instead, and she said you will need a sick note, I said i didn't as I can self certify for 7 days, and she hung up the phone on me without replying!  This was a few hours after I was there when he died, after 6 months of watching him die.  Terrible management and this was working for one of the biggest financial organisations in the Uk so it was no impact on her or the business!
