  1. St George did not slay that dragon for this
  2. The only real question of loyalty here is you moving away from Bristol, if anything you should be paying the club more
  3. Not even anywhere close to being pride related, it’s a design touch. One that makes it not even look the thing it originally was so fairly pointless from many angles but the backlash is embarrassing. When did the world become like this, how depressing.
  4. What part of this sounds good to you?
  5. Exactly the point. Ownership is stable, as local as you could reasonably expect a billionaire to be and ultimately does have the interests of the club in its heart and not in it to make a quick buck, there shouldn’t be a lot to not love about that but.. thinking we didn’t need to employ after Gould is the real crime and would be a relatively easy fix to bring the fans back on side and to support manning (which he needs, all coaches in this mould do) warnock/hodgeson is abit too bennie L for my liking but a sensible sporting head would go a long way to repairing the fractures. pisses me off that they won’t do this though, can’t fathom it
  6. Make him caretaker !!!
  7. Don’t be fooled anyone. It’s what they want you to be. Be on your guard
  8. Have a closer look around and just wait till you read some of the things people write completely seriously
  9. He was actually doing wonders there and he probably would have kept them up, if only he’d kept his mouth shut I guess. seems to be a bit of the old self sabotage in nige, maybe he doesn’t think he’s good enough. Low self esteem is fixable though
  10. Good point on NP at Watford forgot about that. What is it they say? Once is a coincidence, twice is a pattern?
  11. My comment was clearly tongue in cheek regarding the battle for manning and Pearson to be desperately average. what the answer is, I do not know.
  12. Exactly, although there is still time for manning to be less badder in a direct comparison on these stats adjusted for season end. I can’t see sky covering the race for mid table anytime soon tbh
  13. I am sure even if we hired pep some would doubt his record
  14. Strong similarities in baggage too, LJs due him dividing opinion after his playing days and LM having to follow Jesus Christ himself. underwhelming is a good summation for sure and we are certainly at cross roads and we are potentially facing the sunk cost fallacy.
  15. I think the fact the manager was sacked is a pretty clear indication that things had gone sour. Based on niges interviews in the lead up It wasn’t exactly out of the blue was it
  16. It seemed likely it would come to an end, great job done by NP but there wasn’t much to signal (in my opinion) that he would take us to the next level.. I should also add LM has not provided any indication of that either we would be fighting for playoffs Based on what? the capitulation based on the same data set from last season seems to suggest we wouldn’t be
  17. Granted the ppt is worse this season but still, after a positive start (again) things were looking like they were going stale, if we are going to look at the stats you could summarise the board could see a repeat of the previous season and that’s why they rolled the dice? He was always going to leave at the end of the season and we needed something more long term. Why not now (October) because things were starting to go sour Ps. That’s a good tool you found! Even if it does help bring real history into sharper focus which I understand may be painful
  18. Embarrassing thread, yet again
  19. Little ipswich. Ipswich tbf have a league pedigree we could only dream of  And what they are doing now is exactly what we did in 08. And where have Ipswich been in those 16 years? Oh yeh in the ******* wilderness. 72 other teams trying to hit on the right formula in a similar way to us. You just dont see their failures so you think it’s magic dust when it comes together. Ipswich have mark Ashton, should we be employing people like him?
  20. “We gave it a go” is obviously used because we are bereft of form, it a state of flux (understatement) and Ipswich have been in the top 3 all season. Wah wah when’s it our turn, I want what the other boys have
  21. Haha it’s been said before mate. but look at this little topic - how lovely, a witch-hunt
  22. It should be, I actually couldn’t make it yesterday but heard it was absolute crap and because of that as hostile reaction is approrpiate - things are not not going well. People shouldn’t be happy, I’m not happy but it’s the intense anger and hate that is just plain weird. I’d get it if we were owned by the guy who owns reading and the club was being asset stripped but that’s quite obviously not the case, I believe have well intentioned owners who have shoveled 100x million of their hard earned into the club to to get **** all. I am sure that is embarrassing and the way they are acting is probably some result of that. The demonisation of tinnion and the lansdowns is actually an embarrassment to anyone who parrots it. The rule for the forum is attack the post not the poster right? Doesn’t seem that extends to the situation with our club owners. is them selling the only answer? Could any protest or dissent be organised to encourage the changes we might like to see at the club? I don’t see why this has to be beyond reconciliation as so many say. I wish there could be slightly more nuance on this forum, look at the top topics. Each and everyone of them some level and variations of OTT anger or LOUD NOISES. Each and everyone of them not happy until the lansdowns sell, but what happens when we are 14th with the new owners, do we want them to sell again and become one of those football clubs and lose our soul in a different way to how people believe we are losing our soul now? god knows what the answer is but this is just insane
  23. *figuratively they have figuratively lost the support of a couple hundred angry angry men on an internet forum. quite a few more outside it, I grant you that I am sure but there’s also quite a lot of people that are aware this is not the end of days
