Bill Shankly believed this and changed Liverpool from wearing white shorts and socks to all red back in the 60s.

I suppose that it's down to all the pie in the sky their owners keep coming out with about a new stadium which the Monopoly panel has believed and don't want a non-existent landmark sitting on the board for forty years.
Or the compiler is one of us.

I suppose that's one way of getting the word Bristol on a trophy.

Be honest. We've all got one of these chained up in the basement haven't we?
I haven't.
But my owners have.

The Gas aren’t Pointless!
Just had a category on Pointless quiz show asking for teams with names not including City or United in their name.
A contestant suggested Bristol Rovers which got down to 5 points - which just shows how irrelevant they are in the world of football.
5 points or more might be their new target to beat for this season to be considered a success .
I think you'll find it was actually 5,000 points.

Good on her.
Had it twice during chemo, don't really recall much of it myself, but was brought down to earth when my missus told me she was asked to have my parents "on standby".

Taken from the Plymouth thread
Impressive, they've completely packed the place out.
Oh, wait....
That's one section....
Of one stand.

However, get a new stadium, carry on the quarters developments and get us into the championship then I would say he’s looking at a profit and we would be worth around £125m as we would be oven ready for a promotion push to the promised land.
Oven ready? Like a turkey?

I cant see the Council granting planning permission for a stadium so close to the City Centre when they have been trying to limit the number of vehicles entering this area for years
Didn't BCC turn down their own Indoor Arena plans near this site as the road infrastructure was not adequate
But an indoor arena with rock concerts would attract thousands of fans, so it's not really a fair comparison.

He. Knows. The. Club.
It's ridiculous how often one has been able to post this clip this season. Apologies, I feel like I'm spamming.
To be fair to Ajax, he knows the clip.

The most knowledgable and interesting co-commentator there is
Light years ahead of most in terms of tactical awareness and reading of the game
What he's done there is, he's looked up, he's seen a comment and, bang, straight away he's replied to it. Textbook forumming, Clive.

Apparently 'a gaggle of 150 or so unofficial England fans have set up camp on a sort of hill behind the goal'. Makes it sound like a bunch of travellers have arrived.
Well there was a Gas flag hung there so...

So when they have a pitiful attendance that day they can blame us, which would make a change from blaming the ballon festival, or bike race on the downs or Tokyo World or Christmas shopping or the Rugby or a protest for world peace on the centre , have I missed any other excuses for their poor crowds.
Their football?

Hummel has been pretty uninspiring overall. Bristol Sport produced some great kits in their short tenure, although on occasion overdid it a bit with too many competing design features (think I remember Jon L saying that as they learned more about production they were able to add more details into the design). They reigned it in again in the final year with the grandad colour. Definitely my all time fav.
Less is more.
Wont be buying this.
We had a beige kit?!!!
