It finished his career off. Didn't play again.
#gaslogic = That's because having played for the mighty Rovers he knew he had reached the peak of his career and anywhere else would be a downward step. Quit at the top as they say

They must have been double booked as they are over Paulton Rovers on Friday night.
Seriously? How the hell does that happen?

Probably intimidated by the decent looking pitch and a stand that won't **** off in anything higher than a mild breeze

True to form:
Quote: 'Spoke to two fans who attended last nights AGM. Apparently well over a hundred did attend.'
Reply: There was less than 60 attending. 60 chairs set out and there were a few empty.
They just can't help themselves can they! Also no info on numbers locked out

I bet he had to pay for that shirt can't see the Gas being able to afford to give shirts away.
Well at least he's saved a quid by having WILL instead of SMITH on the back.

So speaks a fan of a mundane, lower league club. "Hartlepool" and "Hereford," mate; you've said it all there. And you can throw "Bristol Rovers" in with those two. Pitiful.
Hasn't it ever been thus in Bristol - the low/zero ambition/appetite for challenge, we-know-our-place blue few consumed with derision and bitter resentment for the ambitious/deluded, ever-dreaming-big upstart south of the river (but secretly wishing for some of what we have achieved, and continue to strive for), never quite accepting our "place"?
If Spurs have "The Game is about Glory" writ large at their ground, what would the Rovers equivalent be? The Game is about ..... ?
90 minutes long and then the other team win.

Just had a Fewer come into work pleased as punch ‘da gas r staying up and da shit are staying down’ obviously that’s as good as it gets for those morons, scraping relegation by the skin of their teeth in a piss poor division, then the highlight of their season is to see us fail.
When's their open topped bus tour?

Why is a rumour a conspiracy? Not sure anybody has given a plausible explanation why filing the accounts is overdue for the first time ever(?).
They may not have been filed late
And if they are/have it may be down to the accountantsNever their fault is it? Always the victims etc.

Went on their website (I know, I'll have a shower in a bit) to see if they had any April Fool's gags. I presume this is it...

I was at a party last weekend, the DJ played The Twist so I twisted, he played Jump Around and so I jumped around, he then played Come on Eileen and I was asked to leave.

Given the triple trouncing this season I hear the Mackams have just turned Commodore:
"Thanks for the times that you've given us,
The memories are all in our mind.
And now that you've come
To the end of your rainbow,
There's something we must sing out loud!Your once, twice
Three times a LOSER...."Easy like Sunday League

They're not. It's just overspray from the Championship ready sprinklers.

I don’t know what looks worst.. their ground or their kit..?!
Is that really their home kit for this season? What an insipid half-arsed interpretation of the (famous) blue and white quarters. Most of the blue is so embarrassed to be on the shirt that it has ****ed off! As bad as the Tesco bag.

From what I’ve watched tonight, both teams look up for it, ground looks good and the crowd are rocking. Plus a couple of early wickets for England have helped.

Saw quite a few Plymouth fans in various service stations Northbound and Southbound over the weekend. Fair play to them for doing that trip.
Never mind their trip, what we're all desperate to know is did you ask them if they preferred us over Rovers? That's the most important thing ever. Oh please say they did, please!
