  1. Fair play to all who went, ridiculous journey midweek. But for a club who apparently have such great support, this is quite something...
  2. But then again, we do have to watch us, which isn’t massively better!
  3. To be fair, a 12:30 kick off on Mother’s Day is always going to take a fair chunk off the attendances…
  4. Don’t forget a bike race! They can’t get to the football if the cycling is on…
  5. So 8.5k home fans for one of their biggest matches of the season. Doesn’t strike me as the sort of crowd a club who need a 15k stadium would get…
  6. In addition to that, they haven't seemed to realise another huge problem. The vast majority of kids who follow a Bristol based football club now follow City, and Rovers are doing very little to attract younger fans. If you were a dad without affinity to either side and wanted to take your ten year old to watch football this weekend it would be 2 pounds more to go to City in the family stand than to sit in Rovers' family stand. That's 2 pound more for a better quality product in better surroundings with better refreshments and an all round better experience. If you then decided to get a season ticket for next season and were unsure about which way to go it would cost £150 pounds more to get one in the Rovers family stand next season, and that's without a free shirt for your child. If they don't get their act together and realise their attendances are only going to drop over the next decade they'll slowly die, a new stadium won't help with that.
  7. Perhaps they could use the new stand for home fans and the rest of the ground for away fans. They might even get 10k every now and then...
  8. You would think they would, just had a little look though and still hundreds of tickets left. For a club who are apparently desperate to move to a bigger stadium, you'd think they'd sell out every now and then...
  9. Hope he does celebrate if he scores on Saturday, I've never understood the non-celebration thing. Good player for us, the energy he and Reid brought in the first half of 17/18 was monumental in us having the run we did. He never shied away, which was something I liked about him, always willing to give it a go. Sounded like a really positive person in the dressing room, unlike certain other #10's who followed and preceded him...
  10. Fascinating. Our u18s get into the semi finals of the FA Youth Cup for the first time in decades and yet people still complain. Learning how to win while not being at your best is quite the skill, if they're learning that now that can only be a good thing
  11. Bless 'em getting all excited about the remote possibility of playing us next season, it's all they have to get excited about...
  12. What tactical change would you have made to stop Burns? It's all well and good criticising, but then back it up with something constructive.
  13. When you're in the bottom half and you travel to 2nd, who have won 5 in a row, it's a free shot imo. The issue is, the last 3 matches, where we should have got points, we didn't get any. That's the concerning thing, not being edged out by a very in form Ipswich side
  14. Who would you have brought on to react to it out of interest?
  15. Free shot tonight in many ways, gutting to lose it in this way after going toe to toe for so long. This is the difference between a side full of confidence and a side lacking in any
  16. To be honest, Ive been impressed by how little respect we've shown. The fact we've gone after them is the reason we're ahead
  17. City women will be hosting Spurs on the 24th of March in the Super League, Rovers meanwhile are getting all excited about hosting Liskeard Athletic, with the chance of being promoted to the same level as the likes of Keynsham and Larkhall. Mind the gap
  18. As if Wally knows what 9000 fans sounds like…
  19. But it came as a part of the package. Personally I'd rather play in red than in the championship than have some crackpot owner come in, change our kit colour and get us promoted for a couple of seasons. Then again, maybe it would be more exciting than whatever was going on this afternoon!
  20. Thinking about it, it would help if there was an identity which could be changed...
  21. Interesting to think, would people be happy with promotion if it meant wearing a blue kit and changing our badge colour and identity? Not sure I would to be honest
  22. Yeh but he scored a good goal v Norwich once, which makes up for everything else right?
  23. I seem to remember 750k being quoted at the time on here, not sure where either fee came from (Looks like I'm 2 hours behind the @Davefevsfont of knowledge!)
