  1. Now announced by BristolLive that CF has left.
  2. The SkyBet BCFC Manager market has been taken down completely now if that means anything
  3. "Lee, we're getting the band back together. Mark's up for it!"
  4. Ha, glad I could contribute to the utter lunacy that this thread is creating!
  5. I don't in the slightest think it is a smokescreen, however the club wouldn't put something out to create one. They'd leak something to the media and create noise that way
  6. Or if we're going completely unrealistic - Graham Potter
  7. Funny you say that, this actually popped up on my Twitter not long ago. Anyone know if this bloke is on here at all? Imagine it's all BS but thought it's worth posting.
  8. Oxford's Assistant also featured on 'The Dub' which is a podcast by BBC Radio Oxford today. Worth a listen as he is asked about this ongoing saga.
  9. Is it not a tad odd that Manning has done an interview, seemingly today ahead of their match in midweek?
  10. I get that, but out of interest would you have been up for us appointing Will Still? His playing career is inferior to Manning's and arguably so is his managerial career before he joined Reims. Correct, I said he helped to develop him. I know as much as you when it comes to that being the truth, however I'm not sure multiple articles would've been written about something that is nonsense... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12521497/WONDERS-PYRAMID-Liam-Manning-coach-credited-nurturing-Declan-Rice-West-Ham-flying-Oxford-PLUS-three-games-watch-weekend.html
  11. You aren't including his playing career, are you?! When did I credit him for Declan Rice? You asked what players he'd helped to develop and I gave you one...
  12. Does what concern me? And Declan Rice, not bad, ey?
  13. Didn't want Nige to leave, but actually pretty happy with this appt. Only 38, fresh ideas, seems to have a v good track record with developing youth. I've been quite a big critic of Jon, but at least he's stuck to his initial statement of getting in a progressive coach that likes to play front footed football, even if it may not be the most 'impressive' appointment out there, which he seemingly also did say. Understandably some are concerned about him getting sacked by MK Dons, but let's not also forget that he helped save Oxford from relegation, now has them 2nd in the league and also got MK Dons into the play-offs. Not a bad track record so far, right? Oh and also a 48% win rate in Belgium. Get behind the new man, folks!
  14. Yeah, agreed, was just relaying what I saw. Maybe a typo that needs to be questioned
  15. Yep, see the 'a few things to clear up' section... https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/bristol-city-next-manager-live-8885495
  16. Bristol Live reporting there's been contact between City & Oxford RE Manning
  17. Opinion would definitely change. Taking a risk and it paying off has to be respected - however it's exactly that, a risk, which means if it doesn't work then they're going to be up for a lot of scrutiny!
  18. Think we first found out on the Sunday, not sure when it was announced though.
  19. This could also be wrong! Balls, just trying to be the optimist.
  20. Yeah, but IIRC after 8 games and following a play off season? That’s like Boro sacking Carrick and look at the run they’re on now.
  21. Why? A head coach/manager with a circa 50% win rate at all 3 teams he’s managed is imo incredibly strong, especially as one of those is abroad too. Time will tell…
  22. Heaven Is A Place On Earth I guess..
