It really interesting to see these "leaders" leaving the dressing room this summer. Seems to me quite obvious that the team has lacked confident leadership for some time. At least people who believed promotion was a genuine possibility. To me, having thought about it, a proper clear out was essential. Those moved out seem to me to be part of an era willing to accept mediocrity/mid table and it's time to move on! Maybe I'm wrong and it's all a downgrade when all is said and done but you can't say today was not "bold"!
Ultimately though a charge like this needs to be proved - especially with the numbers of cameras at a game these days you would think that there would be sufficient evidence to see something like this clearly. Just like in the rest of life where a criminal charge will follow you around this will follow FD around for the rest of his career (imagine if the first thing on google when you heard the rumour he was signing was a spitting charge?) and therefore the must be a burden of proof. Otherwise screw it start squaring up to a rival star player and complaining about being spat at in a pair where the other one says he did it so he’s banned for he last 6 games of the run in? Seems a dangerous precedent to me.
£10m for a player with one good Championship season in the last year of his deal? If he wasn't an academy product and going to Cardiff this could only be seen as good business for the club really.
Impressed with his interview and great to see he has good english to help him integrate quickly - hopefully joining a squad in good spirits helps get him firing again as he clearly has ability if the reports from those who followed previous seasons are right.
Moakesy started following Match Report: The most proud you can be in a 3-0 defeat
Got himself into a few good positions but looked scared to shoot to me - tried to play someone else in twice and both were poor balls. Looked low in confidence to me.
