  1. Think it’s deflected off the hull defender onto Wells not sure if he’s offside when shot is taken
  2. That’s tea sorted , thank you for sharing
  3. I don’t have any , just an assumption based on what hear, read and see. May possibly be 2+ 2 and not getting 4 but my rationale: Pearson has a year left on his contract , there appears no desire to commence contract negotiations. Pearson has been publicly critical of Lansdown jnr in media interviews and also of te mess he inherited (rightly so). Lansdown snr for me was not exactly complimentary of Pearson during the last interview he did with Twentyman at the end of last season. We’ve raised significant money in transfer market for Semenyo (acknowledge we used that money in January) plus Scott recently. Whilst I don’t expect us to spend it all but we have gaps in the squad for me / short term striker defence / long term GK and creativity in midfield. For us to be talking a week before the deadline oh no more incoming is a concern. As I say I’m looking at the above and does Lansdown think we’ll stay up, replace Pearson with ‘X’ and a transfer kitty to temp - May be completely wrong and hope I am
  4. Personally I would be offering Pearson a new contract , with the mess he inherited I believe he deserves the opportunity to build a team. However, I don’t get the impression all is well in the relationship between owner, chairman & manager and I’d be surprised if Pearson is in charge of Bristol city next season. As for why not do it now , cost I guess if the board believe we have the squad that will be in no danger of relegation why go through the expense of replacing Pearson & coaching staff?
  5. Discussed this on another thread with @Davefevs, believe the club will not be extending Pearson’s contract and decision made to offer any funds the new manager. Let’s hope it doesn’t backfire
  6. Glad you do , because I don’t!! Start of every season I look for three worse teams than us and was confident we’d be well clear. No creativity and 3 shots on target in 3 games - you don’t score you’ve got problems Can’t see us offering Pearson another contract , if we did would he sign but to be honest pointless discussion as don’t think club will. The club needed a feel good factor following Scott departure , fact there hasn’t been suggested we stick with what we’ve got. Hopefully the gamble will prove correct
  7. I’m not saying I agree with the approach but just have a feeling it’s what is going to happen
  8. I’m not sure we’ll see much recruitment between now and September. Think the club see us as having enough to stay in this league , there is no question Pearson will not be here next season and believe any budget will be for whoever the club appoint as manager next season. Just a hunch
  9. Good luck to Tommy Frank tonight , not a fan of DAZN boxing but fighting for the hospital / charity that supported him and our family
  10. Really disappointing to hear that prince William isn’t going to be in attendance tomorrow especially considering his role within the FA- imagine if the men had been in a similar position he would have been
  11. What are ‘the Meerkats’?
  12. Has anybody recently received a car insurance quote? Received a new quote and premium increased from £370.53 to £611.93. No change in vehicle, no claims , no convictions in 12 months. When asked how they can justify the increase in cost , explained they’re unable to detail their underwriting criteria !
  13. Completely agree , and to be fair there should be an agreement across the league on reciprocal pricing. As @frenchredsays I suspect we’ll be charged top dollar by Leeds because we’ll charge the same to your fans
  14. Hopefully an away win tomorrow at Portman Road to be followed by a hone tie against decent premiership opponents, and what a shame they won’t be able to take advantage of it financially
  15. So Leeds have tickets on sale for Ipswich (a) and are being charged £34 with Leeds stating; Unfortunately no agreement could be reached for a reciprocal pricing deal for this fixture. £34.00- Adults £27.00- Seniors aged 65+ £20.00- Under 23s £12.00- Under 19s I assume they will charge the £47 for Ipswich fans visiting ER
  16. Out of interest , how long has it taken you to get into the ground?
  17. As stated above by @Mr Popodopolous. Leeds have said they will reduce the cost to away fans to reflect what their away fans are charged. They’ve reached an agreement with Cardiff for their games. Leeds United are pleased to announce the club have agreed a reciprocal ticket pricing offer with Cardiff City. The EFL allow reciprocal ticket offers to be agreed between clubs and we will continue to work with all other teams in the Sky Bet Championship to try and offer a better deal for travelling supporters. As a result of the deal being struck, Cardiff City supporters who travel to Elland Road in August and Leeds United supporters who travel to the Cardiff City Stadium in January will pay the same price for tickets.
  18. He’s only as good as the club that are willing to pay the price for him, if that’s Bournemouth then it’s Bournemouth. Bournemouth would give him the opportunity to play at the top level of English football and showcase his ability and talent and no doubt Scott will see them as a stepping stone to a bigger club, whilst at the time increasing his profile and also no doubt his weekly salary by a significant amount. Which I’m sure he saw is in a similar way when he joined us. It is a shame that despite the money pumped into Bristol City in many ways we’ve not progressed beyond a middle ranking championship team, until we do we’ll see continue to see our better players leave to clubs we as fans may see as smaller than Bristol City. I’m sure we all long for the day when we’re called ‘tinpot’ by supposedly bigger clubs as we sign their better players because we can offer top flight football!
  19. Morning, will listen on walk to work tomorrow. Any proposed dates for next magazine ?
