  1. Or if he’d taken over a month earlier
  2. With recent examples of players of ignoring fans, is there any excuse? On Saturday Leeds players reportedly ignored a number of fans at their hotel prior to the game against Bournemouth, including a young fan with an autograph book. Previously arsenal players reportedly ignored a young mascot whilst signing her shirt https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/arsenal-players-slammed-ignore-mascot-nick-knowles-another-go-being-decent-human-beings/blte99e9b6246429489 Is there any excuse for players ignoring fans before a game?
  3. Really worried about Pring leaving in the summer and wonder if the Bryan noise is the club lining up an experienced replacement with the lad from Wimbledon as understudy. Think Kalas will stay , similar position to Baker and Weinmann offers he may think are not there. Pretty confident Conway will stay but if decent start next season May see bids in January
  4. Looks like Leeds are sacking their manager
  5. Certainly feels a pivotal week at the bottom of the league and potentially may be a bit clearer whose getting relegated to the championship: Tonight: Leeds v Leicester Wednesday: Forest v Brighton Thursday: Everton v Newcastle Saints v Bournemouth Sunday: Bournemouth v Leeds Newcastle v Saints Monday: Leicester v Everton
  6. He hasn’t had a great season and certainly not a regular this year. It seems questionable that they’re tight in the shit and he’s not picking club captain or vice captain. They certainly seem to have thought that a new manager would have had a bounce like last season to keep them up - only hope is two of Everton , Forest or Leicester don’t pick up a small upturn in form. I think if Leeds go down they could be in a bit of bother financially, not is all well behind the scenes with the owners who are looking for outside investment. I think they’ve overpaid for a number of their recently purchased players
  7. I’m not sure why he’s not playing either Ayling or Cooper in the back line , either club captain or vice captain. The keeper is shocking anyway but there isn’t much experience in that defence / midfield two on based on last two games fight either when going gets tough
  8. Think Tuesday will be a huge indicator of who comes down. Leeds are home to Leicester. If they win that I think they may stay up , can’t see Forest picking up many points with their run in. Leicester still to play Leeds (a) and Everton (h). Leicester potentially have better run of games than the other three.
  9. 10 goals conceded in two home games so far and 15 to go
  10. I would look to move weinmann on, last year of contract.
  11. I agree that I think we need a target man, and know Leaburn has been mentioned as a possible target at Charlton. For me the players we’ve got we need someone to link them together by either holding the ball up to play off and offering us an out ball to get up up the pitch. Whilst we have improved defensively , someone who can be a presence in our box at defending set plays , like Wilbs used to do under Cotts. I’m not saying we play a target man every game but it gives us an option within the squad. Know Tinnion has mentored Conway could be that player.
  12. Agree, Pearson is probably going to have a transfer budget available that hasn’t been seen at city for a while (although probably not massive by other clubs in this league). We have to back him and Tinnion in identifying the right players to improve us. We need to probably spend relatively big on a box to box midfielder (Marvin Elliott type) who can be a presence in attacking and defending set plays, plus a creative player if Scott leaves, I do not want to see weinmann in that position that season. Personally I’m more worried we may lose Pring this summer (scouts watching Scott can’t have failed to have been impressed by Pring as well). For me we need: Gk RCB Two LCB (one perm , one loan to allow Atkinson to get back to fitness) LB Two midfielders (one box to box, one more creative) Target man to play off
  13. I personally thought so , high profile ownership. Number of clubs progress out of non league into league one within a season. If expecting championship football within two seasons or premiership within four / five seasons I would call that unrealistic
  14. Spoke to a few Wrexham fans on Saturday as playing Halifax (which they lost). Must admit couple I spoke to were realistic about what they could achieve. Certainly expecting championship football within four / five seasons
  15. I have a copy if you’d like it .
  16. Just finished reading issue 2 of OSIB and have to say what a polished , interesting read. One really good interview with a lady called Leah Davis who’s invoked with the ‘Her Game Too’ movement. This linked to an article about our academy and the involvement of an Amy Kington and her hard work in achieving Cat 2 status within six months. The magazine certainly has a feel of the old ‘Ultra’ publication from years ago. Many thanks to the guys and girls who put this together , the OTIB fanzine which has been going for 30 years! A very different style to OSIB but an excellent publication. Those who run this forum and those who produce / contribute to the various podcasts - extremely fortunate to have so many outlets as fans to stare our opinions on.
  17. Saints , Leicester & Leeds
  18. Could this result in a points deduction hit for this season?
  19. Sounds like the final obstacle was Fury not committing to Usyk request to make payment to the Ukraine fund he asked for
  20. Would like to see him start every game between now and end of season , we’ve got nothing to play for give him the game time and judge him at end season . Is he a starter for next season, squad player or needs a loan spell
  21. Thanks for information - was going to watch Halifax v Yeovil today to see these two
  22. Pretty sick to think there is a video in circulation of the incident
  23. It’s frustrating- never used to happen on Sky plus !
