Buster's funeral takes place at Bristol South Crematorium on Thursday 4 June at 3.30pm.

Due to the current regulations, only close family members are able to attend.

In order to allow others to pay their final respects, the funeral cortege will pass through Ashton Gate Stadium along Marina Dolman Way.

This is expected at approximately 3pm.

Those wishing to attend may use the Winterstoke Road car park then proceed to

    Marina Dolman Way
    .

Social distancing must be observed at all times.

The family intend to hold a Celebration of Buster's Life at a suitable time in the future.

  3. A large number of former players will be attending the Fulham game for our 125th season celebrations.

I am not privy to the list unfortunately.

They will be made aware that they are welcome in the Supporters Bar after the game to meet fans.

I can't promise anything but I do think there will be some faces we have not seen for some time ...

  4. MIKE GIBSON & BOB TOOZE

Mike Gibson, arguably City's greatest ever keeper, came to us from the Shrews in 1963 and the rest is history.

Bob Tooze, then Mike's young inderstudy, joined the Shrews from us in 1968.

They will be reunited after over 50 years at the FA Cup game on Saturday, when both will be guests of the Club.

AFTER THE GAME, THEY WILL BE COMING ALONG TO THE SUPPORTERS BAR, ABOVE THE SPORTS BAR.

    EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

There is an article in the programme.

  6. Terry Bush

    29 January 1943 – 30 July 2018

We were sad to learn that Terry Bush, who played for the Club throughout the 1960s, passed away on Monday 30th July 2018 after a long illness.

Terry was born in Norfolk but began his footballing career as a junior at Bristol City, signing as a professional in February 1960.  He went on to play his entire career at City and settled in Bristol for the rest of his life.  The 1964/65 season could be considered his best, scoring 16 goals in 37 league appearances, contributing towards the team winning promotion to Division Two.  He was forced to retire in 1970 with knee problems.

He had played 185 games and scored 46 goals in all competitions, 162 appearances and 43 goals in the Football League.  His long service was rewarded with a joint testimonial with Tony Ford on 31 July 1971.  Terry had a powerful physique and scored a number of spectacular goals.  He joined the City staff on retirement as assistant secretary before becoming a full-time official for the Transport and General Workers Union.
