  1. So, with the permanent signing of Murphy,TGH and the loan of Twine added to previous signings of Sykes, Mehmeti & Knight, this looks a talented group of young players Does Manning start benching James & Williams more regularly and play the young guns and get some pace and enthusiasm into the team or not? We needed a refresh in the team and with Weimann gone and James/Williams contracts up at the end of the season are we now seeing a new dawn with more pace, creativity and attacking flair?
  2. Sometimes it just takes one or two players to make things click McCrorie back fit & Twine joining could well make us that 5 - 10% better in games and take us on a winning run? Bit early to give up on play offs but the next 5 games need to get 10 points to keep us interested
  3. Their player and they can dictate the terms of any deal. I would like to think we would be able to a deal in the summer if he dies well but I dare say it depends a lot on Burnley’s league status
  4. Twine would bring that creative attacking midfielder but we desperately need a striker who can physically compete but think we also lack that wide player who can also create. Mehmeti still has a lot to improve on if Atkinson isn’t far away then he would play alongside Dickie for me and with McCrorie now back he comes in for Tanner A few changes and I don’t think we are far off a good team who can compete at this level
  5. Knight is the most natural leader I have seen for many seasons. Gives 100% and leads by example, no idea what he’s like off the pitch but for me he is someone we would miss massively when not playing The only other could be McCrorie as a captain but yet to see his influence but another who looks like a leader and sets an example on the pitch when playing at Aberdeen

One thing I have noticed is the amount of foreign nationals watching us and coming to games. I have spoken to Ukrainians, Pols, Romanians who love there football and enjoy watching City as their local team. There are also quite a few others from the far east and Asia Quite a cosmopolitan crowd at AG now, not sure they have quite got a grip of the Wurzels just yet and drink up thee cider
  7. FFS, let’s hope Norwich turn up in the replay
  8. Home draw is what we wanted
  9. It’s going to take a bit of time and LM has shown glimpses of what he can do with a group of players he has inherited. The current transfer window and the summer window as well as more time with the players will give us more of an idea of where we are as a club and if we have a realistic chance of promotion Looking at the likely clubs that will be relegated from the Prem this season probably gives us a better opportunity next season as currently we are realistically chasing 6th spot along with quite a few other clubs
  10. Easily would have taken 10k+ if more tickets were available. I just have a membership so no way got a chance for a ticket
  11. That’s a pretty strong West Ham line up, all depends if they are up for it? would take a draw and replay
  12. Seems like a very confident lad and a good sense of humour. For an eighteen year old he speaks very well and certainly has high ambitions I think he will fit in very well
  13. Having watched that today and in spite of the last 4 results it is glaringly obvious to me that we desperately need a RB that can attack. Tanner is a solid defensive RB but we need both flanks to provide a threat We also have a midfield that can’t operate as a triangle and pass through the midfield either as a pivot or a point of a diamond We also lack athleticism in areas of the team which makes a massive difference if LM wants to play a high tempo pressing game Finally, up front - totally lacks any threat physically and Conway got bullied today and didn’t hardly have a kick against their CBs Theres still a lot of work to be done to get us anywhere near the quality we need to be to challenge at the top of the division
  14. They have a few players out injured and suspended so will be slightly weaker than previous games. Still have a few dangerous players and I’m guessing JB will be playing today for them If we start with a high tempo and get at them early then I fancy us to win comfortably 3-1
  15. I can see us winning comfortably if we play at the same levels as the last 3 games. With Millwall on NYD at home and a free hit v West Ham to come, I’m looking forward to 2024 with an air of confidence for a change With players returning from injury in particular McCrorie who I think will be a huge player for us for the rest of the season and a couple of January signings it has the makings of an interesting & exciting time
  16. Playing like we did today and West Ham might get a big surprise when we play them in the cup
  17. Getting 3-4 players to consistently perform at 7-8 out of 10 every game is what most coaches/managers look for but to get the whole team at that high level takes a great deal of coaching, organisation, communication and belief - today was one of those days where everyone played at that high level, did what was required. Manning and his staff need to take a lot of credit as well as the players for todays performance as I for one thought it may take him a lot longer to apply his way of how he wants us to play. The squad have obviously adapted and taken onboard a lot of information and we are now starting to see those shoots of a playing style that entertains us and gives us that hope that we can compete towards the top of this division which has been so sadly lacking the past 4-5 seasons Is it the start of something new and exciting, I hope so!
  18. Maybe Manning can go on a run similar to the one Ipswich have been on until recently? Automatic spot anyone?
  19. That’s 3 wins against teams around us competing for a play off spot. Birmingham & Millwall up next but can Maint ball deal with slightly different types of challenges We have gone under the radar so far this season but I fear Sky and other channels may start paying a few more visits to our games over the next few months??? Finally, will the board recognise this as an opportunity to bolster the squad in January and give us an injection of added quality/cover?
  20. Looks so comfortable at this level, I can see him getting a move to a big club in the next 18 months if he continues like this Semenyo on the other hand plays exactly as he did at City, in fits & starts
  21. Natural leader and leads by example, always gives 100% and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him being given the role permanently next season
