  1. Does anyone else get regular dropouts on the audio (every minute or so) when listening on the app? Happens every time I use it and it is really annoying.

I’ve sat in the home areas at Barnsley, Leeds and Newcastle with mates who have season tickets there (in the stands rather than the home ends) and not had any trouble. However, I sat on my hands, avoided any banter with them and kept my voice down. The people around me were absolutely fine too. It’s a shame though that it has to be like that and a couple of mates who like football but support different teams can’t just sit together and enjoy a more relaxed experience. I suppose some people would push it too far though when emotions are raised.
  3. Worse than that - weren’t they trying to sell him to them?
  4. Harsh on Denis Smith. Not harsh enough on Osman and Pullis. Terry Cooper the top of the list for me. As well as everything he did for the club, his team played good football too.
  5. I don’t think he could say any more than he did in respect to Nigel coming back and it’s wrong to be giving him a hard time about that. Nigel has always struck me as a proud man who sets himself high standard and is straightforward and honest in how he conducts himself. It could well be the case that he does want to come back (there’s nothing I’ve seen indicating that he’s not up for it) but will only do so if he is well enough (or believes he will be well enough long term) to do so to meet those standards and be at the level that he wants to be in his own performance. He’s the only one that can make that decision.
  6. That is not quite what he said as I recall it if we’re thinking about the same interview. The context was that we were in a poor run of form and the question from Twentyman was along the lines of “the fans are paying a lot of money to come to watch City and aren’t happy seeing such poor results week in and week out; what do you say to them?” Lansdown’s response was something like “I’m putting a lot more money in than them so imagine how I feel.” There could probably have been a better response in retrospect, but it wasn’t how it’s been sometimes interpreted or remembered by some people.
  7. I’m from the more happy clappy side of the fan base probably but I’m so bored of watching City. It’s not just the results, it’s the poor style of play and lack of ability to keep hold of the ball, plus no creativity, pace, skill or general excitement. I feel sorry for you lot who have season tickets and see a lot more of it.
  8. Sky just don’t get it do they? https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2019/aug/27/david-squires-on-bolton-bury-and-the-threat-to-our-football-clubs
  9. Swansea manager said we deserved to win too. Not often a manager accepts that - classy.
  10. We'd already be down without him. He won't look back and laugh though - he actually gives a sh#t, that was clear tonight. Ironic that the player who really has nothing to lose and knows he will go on to far better things than playing for us was the one showing real passion, leadership and energy tonight. He berated the others, tried to get them up for the fight and was playing until the final whistle. No hanging back from the fans like the others at the end either. Never thought I'd applaud a player after a 5-0 loss but I did tonight. We only get an Andy Cole or a Tammy Abraham once in a generation, and what a spectacular way to have wasted it.
  11. One goal conceded against Boro and West Brom is a significant improvement from where we were. We are looking more solid and resilient as a result of the changes made. Not bothered that we lost, far more important things to focus on.
