  1. I’ve still not got over losing to Mansfield on penalties at Wembley in 1987.
  2. Very sad news. RIP Martin.
  3. Just caught up with the highlights. Looks like we played some good stuff but weren’t clinical enough. Not sure how that Wells chance didn’t go in. Their winning penalty had an element of luck too with Max getting a hand to it.
  4. I really like it that this is happening. When the re-build of AG was first mooted I loved the idea of a museum being part of it and I hope this happens at some point.
  5. The changes seem sensible to me. McCrorie probably needs a rest as he returns to fitness. Mehmeti has been looking dangerous. Bell looked lively when he came on v Forest. Williams has been playing well. Conway is probably knackered after playing up front in his own, but he can come on if needed. Let’s beat them, City. We’re due a win. COYR
  6. On first impressions I quite like it. Our badge is growing on me, but I still wish it would have incorporated the Suspension Bridge (like the tweaked versions of the design by posters on this forum at the time).
  7. Don’t Dream It’s Over - Crowded House
  8. Great stuff by Maidstone. What a finish for that first goal. The FA Cup at its best. And even sweeter that it has hopefully ruined Mark Ashton’s weekend.
  9. He’s been superb. Very good on the ball too.
  10. Really impressed with him so far, especially his marauding runs with the ball. And he will only improve as he gets more fit.
  11. Really good performance from City. All that was lacking was a spark in the final third. Lots of positives. I particularly loved the surging run by Cornick. COYR.
  12. That’s Not My Name - The Ting Tings
  13. Say Say Say - Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson
  14. Islands In The Stream - Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers
  15. I really liked Carey as a player. Always got stuck in, even in a game I vaguely remember when he had to be bandaged up Terry Butcher style, and had skill too - he was effective as a right back as well as centre back. Happy birthday Louis.
  16. I had it! Absolutely loved it. But then again I was only about 8 years old so didn’t know any better. Really good to hear it again, though.
  17. Same Jeans - The View
  18. Gutted I can’t make it to today’s game. Hopefully it’ll be a good performance and result. COYR
  19. A Town Called Big Nothing - Elvis Costello
  20. The Young Ones - Cliff Richard & The Shadows
  21. He was superb tonight. Looked more confident on the ball and defended well.
  22. Really enjoyed that. Loved the commitment from City and a fully deserved win. West Ham players seemed to lose their heads. Missed the goal after getting to the ground slightly late (we scored just as we got through the turnstiles) - unfortunately someone on the bus from the Bris park and ride was taken ill, so the bus stopped on the Hartcliffe way and we walked from there. I really, really hope he/she is ok. Credit to the fans on the bus who stayed to help out.
  23. It’s difficult to think of a harder working, thoroughly professional City player. He fully deserved his 20+ goal season. Best of luck, Andi.
  24. Glad he’s signed permanently. I like him as a player and he has potential. Good shot on him and good at set pieces.
