  1. Great day. Boiling hot, promotion, mass pitch invasion and the players/management/coaches were up in the Williams stand after the game to salute the supporters. I was out with my mates in town that night and there were loads of City fans outside the Ostrich celebrating.

  3. I’ve been impressed by Pring this season. That late Preston equaliser can’t just be blamed on him. He was doing the right thing in driving forward and admittedly should have released the ball quicker - but it looked like a foul and there were enough City players behind the ball to have dealt with the counter attack. Agree with this. Pre-season is going it be important for him. Quite often this season he hasn’t looked like he’s got the 90 mins in him yet.
  4. I always enjoyed Tommy’s posts. One of the posters who used to be on here quite a lot and has disappeared.

I thought the pitch invasion yesterday was naff. I’ve got no problem with them when it’s the unbridled joy of something like promotion (I’ve got great memories of those pitch invasions) or games like when we beat Man Utd, but yesterday, with people sliding on their knees and running around the pitch with their phones out taking selfies, was cringeworthy. For what it’s worth, I enjoyed the shoe-throwing chants, that was good natured end of season merriment, and fair play to the Hull fans doing the conga in fancy dress when their team was getting thrashed.

  10. Williams and James were superb today and ran the midfield. Energetic performances from both of them. It’s been a long time since we dominated a game like we did today.
  11. Thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Our best performance for absolutely ages. It was great to see the players looking so up for it in an end of season game.
  12. He was excellent today. Worked his socks off and showed his class too.
  13. I’m looking forward to this game. Sunny weather, beer and hopefully a good performance and three points.
  14. Yes I remember that! From what I recall it was the first time we had the purple away shirt - and there were a few gasps because people thought it looked blue (me included)!

  16. He was ok for us. When we released him last summer it felt like the time was right.

  18. This season has been a tough one. We had the long run of winless home games off the back of last season, the last minute goals we’ve conceded and some truly shocking performances. On the plus side there has been the emergence of some exceptional young players, and it’s been really pleasing to see how NP has been prepared to blood players from our youth ranks. Next season is an unknown quantity because we don’t know who will still be here. The financial position is concerning, and might force us to sell one of our starlets, and also it restricts what we can do in the transfer market. But actually that might be a positive after the huge amount of waste during the LJ/Ashton era when we seemed to sign an endless stream of average players. We are also finishing the season more strongly, so that gives cause for optimism too.

  20. Yep, same here. Easy process, no problems at all. Much easier than how it used to be done.
