  1. Fascinating to watch. Blimey, goalkeepers certainly took a beating in those days!
  2. A decent point at Birmingham will look even better if we get a win tomorrow. Looking forward to the game, even though I’ll probably have a hangover.
  3. We’ll be going into the game full of confidence while Birmingham are in a slump, but this division is so crazy tonight’s game easily could go either way. I’d like to think we can at least extend our unbeaten run.
  4. I remember my dad taking me in there before games when I was a young child. I didn’t go in there much as an adult, it always looked so busy I thought it’d take ages to get served. I vaguely remember being in the garden on a boiling hot day listening to City fans exchanging insults with away fans who were on the other side of the fence in the park.
  5. Excellent win, and sounds like a good performance too. COYR!
  6. Merry Christmas fellow reds. My thoughts are especially with anyone going through a tough time or missing loved ones. And I’ll raise a glass to my Dad, who loved City.
  7. I have always felt supportive of the Lansdowns. But my faith in the regime has been shaken by two things: 1 - How Mark Ashton and LJ were seemingly allowed to spend many flagrantly, leading to a bloated squad and financial constraints that had us in a real mess. 2. The sacking of NP….or at least the narrative that went with it. Top 6 squad? Do they really believe that? What do I want to happen? I really don’t know. Part of me thinks fresh impetus is needed. Part of me worries about what new owners would be like. But the balance has certainly tipped to the former.
  8. That is such devastatingly sad news. RIP and my thoughts go out to his family.
  9. Very pleased with the win tonight. I couldn’t make it to the game (I hate missing games ) but listened on the radio and feared the worst when they were ahead. Credit to the team for the comeback. COYR.

  12. It was an amazing night. For me, right up there with Wembley (1986), Anfield (1994) and the “Donowa” game against the fewers. I can’t think of a better goal I’ve seen live than Bryan’s. And I remember so clearly that moment when Korey Smith’s winner went in. Pandamonium.
  13. William, It Was Really Nothing - The Smiths
  14. People who are so buried in their phones that they stand in the way or cross roads without looking. The hand driers at AG that blow out cold air. People on Facebook who post pictures of the coffee or glass of wine they are drinking. The word “presser”.
  15. A very welcome three points. We were decent enough for most of the first half. In the second half we were dire and unable to keep hold of the ball. Sunderland passed and moved well and were good on the ball, but lacked a cutting edge. Very relieved to get the win, but we need to be better than that.
  16. I went to see Billy Bragg at the Bristol Beacon a couple of weeks ago (he was really good) and I’ve been re-discovering some of his music, including some I’d not been aware of before the concert. “All You Fascists Are Bound To Lose” (Billy Bragg wrote the music to Woody Guthrie’s original lyrics) is a great one.
  17. A definite yes for Yorkshires from me. One thing I can’t understand is when cauliflower cheese is served with Xmas dinner or any roast. Yuck.
  18. With the downward spiral we are on, I’m feeling pessimistic about this game. I’d love to see a convincing performance and 3 points, but we seem to be struggling to get the basics right.
  19. Good to see, and hopefully there will be many more in the future.
  20. Gutted I won’t be able to go to this game because my son will be playing football that afternoon.
