  1. It's the same in any area of modern capitalism. The money doesn't 'TrickleDown', it's a torrent that flows uphill.
  2. Most of our top flight appearances were over 100 years ago.
  3. We are 3 places higher though, at the moment. I always prefer to judge things on position rather than points. Interesting that the same 3 teams are there or thereabouts again this season. Aston Villa, Middlesboro and Derby. Maybe a hard to break into 'mini league' is developing at the top of the Championship?!
  4. If we go up that would be amazing. If we don't then at least we look like proper contenders in this division, which should hopefully put us on the radar for better players in the summer to strengthen the squad. It seems like a win/win to me.
  5. Please ignore last post. The stats didn't show up! Basically, over the last ten years in the Championship the 3rd place team was promoted 5 times. 4th place 1 time. 5th place 3 times. 6th place 1 time.
  6. Play-offs wins by league position Championship - last 10 years 6th5th4th3rd1315
  7. Hopefully the break has killed the poor run of form. It couldn't have come at a better time really.
  8. Yeah I went there with my dad in the early nineties. I think we lost 2-0 that day. I agree about the old ground, very weird atmosphere with only 3 sides!

    Ranieri

It sort of shows how moronic football has become. We now live in an age where if you don't deliver as a manager after a couple of months then you're replaced. Jose m. won everything that there is to win, but a couple of bad seasons he's called rubbish and dumped in the dustbin. Ranieri wins the title for Leicester (which is an incredible achievement) and is sacked the following season. This manager merry go round is complete horse doo doo and it is ruining the game. Social media and moaning idiot fans are holding clubs to ransom. Like I've said in previous posts we will get to a stage where the manager is sacked because of one or two bad results. People like Alex Ferguson and Brian Clough would not last 10 minutes in this day and age. Very depressing stuff.
  10. there must be a billionaire somewhere near Coventry who wants to pour endless cash into the club?!
  11. Compared to the days when the best we could hope for was around 17k these are great times.
  12. My mum's got that print on her living room wall! Nice to see it appear on the forum.
