  1. I will make the trip regardless, just a bloody nuisance as the train gets be back in after 1am.

    Nathan Baker

Love Baker, glad to see he is putting together a run of games. Does have a red card in him though, would worry who would cover should he get suspended.
  3. Is anyone making this journey on Tuesday for the game? Getting the train back seems an impossible task.
  4. If he is so undroppable and favoured by Johnson, why is he in the last year of his contract with no signs of a renewal?
  5. When we signed Paterson, Forest fans all said he started great for them but then fell off and became inconsistent. I think it's fair to say his time with us has been very similar. I expect him to do very well for Derby to begin with.
  6. I am a Johnson fan but really dislike what he said yesterday about buying 5 new players in. Has he not already signed 7 this window? Not counting the countless others over the previous 3 seasons. Surely the mark of a good coach is to improve the squad you have and not just endlessly buy the improvements instead? Obviously I realise we need a striker but the idea that we need 5 new players seems daft. What about the beloved pathway? What about all those 'one's for the future' from 2 years ago? I actually think the squad is in a very healthy condition.
  7. I am a big fan of Diedhiou and don't doubt the job he can do in this upcoming season. I simply think he needs competition for his place in the team and having no-one to fill in when he has a bad run of form or gets injured would be poor planning. Inconsistency is the big thing for me with Fam, world beater one game - missing an open goal (hull game) the next. Took my girlfriend's family to see us Vs Bolton and they couldn't believe he was our record signing.

    Tony Thorpe

Was my favourite City player when I started watching. It always felt like we failed to replace him for a decent while after.

Delighted with.this news. Saw some guy saying on twitter that he wasn't that good and they preferred Frankie though...opinions eh?
  10. I did laugh when they brought Windass out in front of our lot at half time to recreate his goal as part of a 'competition'. Good banter between us and him too.
  11. If the league was so poor then how did A) they produce such good players in the first place B) see Aberdeen, rangers and Celtic find success or challenge in Europe - sometimes beating English teams.
  12. Celtic and Rangers both reached UEFA cup finals in the 00s as well. The league in my opinion has collapsed since Rangers folded and they no longer have the ability to attract good foreign players as even low premier League teams can pay more in wages.
  13. Rubbish. Strachan played his first 10 years in Scotland in a great Aberdeen side. McCoist spent 90% of his career with Rangers in a team that did well in Europe. Nicholas played some of his best football at Celtic either side of a Arsenal stint. Daglish was a great player at Celtic for years BEFORE moving to Liverpool. How you can be so arrogant about a subject that by your own emissions you don't care about...
  14. Their national team wasnt always as crap, it is currently a shambles. They used to produce top quality players (Strachan, Daglish, Souness, Nicholas, McCoist) and it was a two horse race then so something else must be the factor behind that.
