  1. But Jennings should also be aware of where the ball pitched, as the batsman facing. The only defence of Ballance is the fact that he was the other side of the wicket from where the ball pitched, so would have far less of an idea of where the ball pitched compared to Jennings!! From Jennings point of view, there was so little going for the ball (more than enough doubt) that he should of known there were a couple of reasons to doubt the decision & if he had appealed & got it wrong, the team would just put it down to a lack of experience / nerves & advised him regarding future situations. Jennings lack of appeal could of cost England massively, especially looking at the current situation. As for Ballance, he's under huge self-imposed pressure to succeed & to prove that he deserves to be out there (which is very debatable in my view) & will result in him making more rash decisions than anyone else because ultimately he's in it for himself at this stage of his England career.
  2. The fact that the ball pitched outside leg should be something a batsman is aware of & once you know it's pitched outside leg you appeal all day long because you're not out, end of!! Irrelevant if it's clipping the wickets or smashing them all over the place.
  3. That's the transfer budget blown then, seeing as they missed out on the £10m for a certain striker as well.
  4. Credit to Crolla for only losing on points but in fairness he was never really a match for Linares, he never caused him any real issues. I would of thought they may of gone in with a different game plan this time around as Crolla was highly unlikely to outbox Linares & was always going to need something special for him to win & that never looked like part of the game plan, it seemed like it was damage limitations.
  5. Crolla needs to go all out now, he's got nothing to lose now.
  6. Have a feeling Linares is going to have too much for Crolla & he will have learnt everything he needed to learn from the first fight when Crolla gave his all & wasn't quite good enough.
  7. Yeah or 1 defeat?!? A step up to a proper, fit, in his peak heavyweight is a whole different matter compared to Haye, he's far from ready for a heavyweight title fight so would there be the money available for a one off fight? Or should he go back to where he belongs, cruiserweight & continue to defend his title? I'd suggest he's better off at cruiserweight for his career & the financial benefits.
  8. I'm not surprised, it's an easy(er) fight for them, Bellew isn't a heavyweight but he's seemingly got all starry eyed over beating a far from 100% Haye & that fight wasn't a true reflection of a quality heavyweight contest. Imo, Bellew would be better off dropping back down the weight but he has the £££££ signs in his eyes now & rightly or wrongly his first priority is his family's security but that isn't what is best for his career, he's seemingly hoping for one decent pay day at heavyweight rather than the possibility of say five smaller pay days at cruiserweight. Oh yeah, Haye couldn't afford to not fight, his corner clearly knew all about it & in all honesty Shane McGuigan has gone down in my estimations, if he was truly looking after Haye's wellbeing he would of pulled Haye out of the fight as soon as there were signs of the injury & he didn't!! That to me is poor from his trainer!! Bellew has also shot himself in the foot by opening his gob & offering the rematch, all he's got is £££££ signs in his eyes & a rematch will hold his career back!!
  9. Looking back on it now, Haye & his corner obviously knew all about his 'injury' before the fight started but he couldn't pull out because a) he needed the pay day, b) because of the hype & c) because no one else would touch him after his poorly toe!! Unfounded I know but I'm just wondering if he or someone he knows managed to wack a stack on at the bookies, knowing he wasn't going to be 100%, he seemed far to happy come the end of the fight, if it were anyone else they would of been gutted & he didn't seem to gutted!!
  10. SkyBet has enhanced odds of 11/2 for Garcia to win later, worth £10........
  11. But he knows he's gone down in the rankings & where's he going to get another pay day from? He has no right to one of the big draws so a re-match with another sell-out means he gets a final pay out (if he gets fit enough). Bellew wasn't stupid enough to call out AJ & all he's interested in is looking after his family, not getting his face smashed in, he knows he isn't a heavyweight so the choice is his really but it'll be without risk to him getting injured in the future because he doesn't have to risk anything now, he just admitted that he's secured his & his family's future.
  12. Fair play, Haye hasn't blamed the injury on losing!! He's gone up in my estimations after that interview.
  13. £60 up from the fight, it's been a good day, won over £500 today, I can live with that.
  14. Fair play to them both for the after fight get together.
  15. Bellew just doesn't seem to be doing enough.
  16. Got no platform to punch from. But Bellew is punched out by the looks of it.
  17. I lost a £5 free bet on the Bellew 8th round @ 80/1 but it was a free bet anyway.
  18. I have £10 on Bellew just to win at 6/1 anyway, be shocked if that doesn't happen now unless Bellew is injured as well? Haye's Achilles' tendon gone?
  19. Come on then Bellew, finish him now!! Please
  20. I have Bellew round 8 for £400...... please.
  21. Haye can't walk, he's like Bambi!!
