  1. Yeah, whilst you can’t pick everyone up at 8 years of age, there’s probably some qualification we as fans add to this to give a truer sense of “produced” isn’t there?
  2. The process might be opaque to some extent, but so is each club’s response to being transparent.
  3. @Dan11 yep all makes sense. Wrote on TWTD ages back that I didn’t see FFP being an issue. Good to see a club transparent with the “FFP allowables” too. The bit I’m intrigued by is the “upto £105m”…as @Alessandro says above that appears to be performance related, or else the words “upto” wouldn’t be used. I reckon some form of “promotion” bonus, ie investing in a PL-bound club makes the price x, but if it gets to tye PL, then price y. New investors aren’t risking an overvaluation, Ipswich not setting a stupid price. All very “Dragons Den”! @headhunter a “promotion dividend” - sell cheaper, but include a “bonus”…where did we hear that this week!
  4. The highlights (?) for me were: £18.2m loss which is bloody high in Lg1 Grown revenue off the back of increasing crowds and commercial deals Costs growing exponentially (revenue up £8m but costs up £13.5m) Wages up by circa 50% £8m spent on transfer fees in Lg1 / book value £16m Basically they won came second in Lg1 operating like a mid-table budget Championship side! That sounds a bit churlish, it probably is, but anything other than promotion last season would be failure. Hats off to them this season in taking that squad to the verge of another promotion. They are going for it! @Dan11 Not having a go at you or some of your more educated posters on TWTD, because you already knew that Ashton was talking horseshit with his “net neutral” claims, but I hope someone remembers that and asks him to square that off at your next fans forum. I didn’t expect losses to be that big, I thought the revenue increases would probably cover most of the increased costs, so another £6m increase in losses is surprising. Interesting to know internally whether this is a two season gamble or not?
  5. I think with it also being “mates rates” for this game, it might be fuller than normal.
  6. I guess Nike didn’t do it on a whim?

  8. Sell your car to pay for it! (nice motor btw)
  9. The big problem seems to be LM is wedded to playing one forward. I think he’d rather play 2 no10s. What I’d do is a very different matter!

ta….will take a proper read over the weekend.
  11. Been appearing for yonks.
  12. Biased! Hope they come up too, look we’ll set, just need to keep going over the Easter period.
  13. At one point, all the EFL clubs were using a standard layout, but over the past 3-4 years (maybe longer) clubs have started to use their own. We’ve gone one step further and put out an abomination of a design in our latest attempt!
  14. No mate would put you through than pain!
  15. Percy suggesting next season, which I’m assuming means breach this year?

Those are your views Rich, no probs at all. i have a different one. It’s not a wholly / totally negative one, but he’s tarnished things for me over the past 5-6 years. And that irreparable for me.

I don’t think (only my opinion) you can take lots of different pros and cons and then just throw in an overall conclusion justified by league position. You’d kinda hope a club that has spent £200m+ in that time had progressed a bit, wouldn’t you. No other club in that time has spent more than us and not experienced the PL, we are an outlier.
  19. Yep, a simple: they wanted a,b,c,d They appointed a bloke who they thought because he’s young, progressive, modern and on the grass, would give them a,b,c,d but now they find out that they got a someone who aspires to x,y,z but is struggling to deliver that and the real kick in the nuts… is relying on the good bits of the bloke he took over from to keep his head above water (for now) Key: a = Front foot b = high press c = forward thinking d = attacking football x = mid / low block y = defensively focussed / passive z = patient build-up to create chances I think it really shows huge ignorance of what they had in place, a lack of understanding of why they felt the need to change, then a lack of competence in specifying what they wanted, and finally a failure to find someone to fit the brief. A four slice shit sandwich!
  20. From about the second week of the season, I cannot watch RTV on my iPad using the club app. Works “fine” (low bar) on my iPhone using the app. Tried deleting, reinstalling, to no avail. Watching RTV using safari on Mac, iPad, iPhone fails to allow full-screen. On chrome browser it “usually” works, not always.
  21. Why in paragraph 2 the “by the way….” bit? Very loaded options imho!
  22. To repeat ….but had he shown what he could do over the past few months he may have had a chance of being selected. You’re painting it as b&w. It’s not. They have two friendlies. TC might've got a call-up to see whether a late run might make him an option for the summer.
  23. Dykes or Shankland could’ve missed out for TC….Shankland has only recently (Nov) got back into the squad.
