  1. No trains up from Weston-super-Mare. Flooding on the line between here and Bristol but not sure how far up the line other stations impacted. Queues for buses into Bristol massive.
  2. Ah I see, you usually get a receipt one and separate one but mine is merged. I phoned up just a moment ago on mine. Took about 10 mins in option 2 supporter services
  3. Check the very bottom of the email. You don’t need to print it either. Mine is on the receipt email and doesn’t indicate there actually is any attachment but it’s right at the bottom past frequently asked questions
  4. It’s impossible to get through a game without some sort of mistake here and there but we make far too many critical ones when there is absolutely no reason to. Those ones are always getting punished unfortunately at the moment. Lost count of the number of goals we’ve conceded and the other team haven’t done much else other than the goals practically gifted to them. It’s a ridiculously tight league and I feel we really need this one. We definitely have a team more than capable of getting a good result against most teams - but please no more Cruyf turns on the halfway line when you’re the last defender, no more hospital passes and bloody move for each other to make the pass easy.
  5. Heading down by train. Need to collect my ticket from away end and just seen it’s pay in the day too . Prob not many of the 1500 sold then but Millwall going pretty well at the moment so should be decent atmosphere
  6. I totally understand the premise behind not having events on the day of the funeral itself but I don’t think the weekend fixtures should be cancelled. To me it feels more relevant to continue and belt out the anthem in the stands being in the moment now and show respect that way , rather than pop to the supermarket instead. If everything gets cancelled up to and including the funeral then I expect when sport resumes we will end up with all the minutes silence , tributes etc that sports were not able to do until after the event. It would feel bit out of place then when any official sense of national mourning is over with.
  7. I think there is a big problem only giving a yellow for what Freeman and the Wigan player did. It basically sends a message to say that if you deliberately target a player who is not even in play with the ball it’s fine. Go ahead , you might get yellow. You might even cause a melee and get two clubs fined. But no sweat , just a yellow because you got p*ssed off that someone brought you down beforehand. It cannot be acceptable to deliberately target a player like that where the ball isn’t even with the player. With the way decisions have been going you can almost guarantee if one of our players loses it against Cardiff and kicks out or shoves, it’s going to be a red. But the precedent has been set….

    Sending off

Normally when there is a bad challenge the ref is straight in and you know a red is coming. With this one I genuinely thought he was just going to get booked because there was no rush from the ref and free kick given. It wasn’t until Freeman decided to shove Sykes and it wasn’t a little nudge either and it spilled over that the ref started getting involved and even then he walked away and consulted the two linos. Once that happened I fully expected two reds. How Freeman has got away with that is unbelievable.

    Naysmith

Naismith does seem to have a good pass in general play and good delivery from set pieces. Anyone know if he was corner taker / free kick taker for Luton?
  10. Yeah i agree , we just don’t have the players around him to compliment. But having said that I’m not sure exactly what role he needs to be. He does get round the pitch, so it’s not lack of effort. Probably the wrong effort though. He rarely comes away with the ball when closing down so not exactly a defensive midfielder. As others have said , when on the ball or trying to wriggle away he quite often does it but then doesn’t release it when he could do so not exactly a creative midfielder either.
  11. Would probably look good in a good team

    Antoine

The least we could do is offer him Palmer’s wage on top. Sign a new contract please.
  13. And we haven't lost any Premier League games. Have that.
  14. Yeah, it's mad to think that had we not conceded the injury time goals against Blackpool, Luton and Forest we would have an extra 7 points. The game against West Brom would have billed as a top six clash yet the difference between us couldn't be any greater really. I still think the Forest game left the team really deflated and made the game against West Brom worse though. We may have still lost by same anyway but I'm sure the actual showing would have better.
  15. He was realistic. And i like the fact he never tries to make out we were in it like some managers do. But it also feels too resigned to losing today so despite the Tanner sub offering a bit of if you don't perform you are coming off it felt a bit pointless doing it. But maybe it was a case, he's young and inexperienced at this level saw him struggling a bit so just wanted to shield him from some of the worst of it as he sees him as main RB going forward for now. I think the players were completely deflated from Tuesday. I think had we won we would definitely have given a better showing today, not to the point where we may have felt like we had a chance of winning but just a better performance. It was really poor today.
  16. If I was a Luton fan I would have been gutted to not come away with something from that and go back there. We simply were not good enough tonight. Really frustrated aswell that I've seen quite a few sides against us now just pick the ball up in midfield and knock it to either wing with ease. We play very narrow , and alot of teams exploit it easily.
  17. I wonder if part of Ashton's legacy he negotiated a sell on clause
  18. Get in. More good work from Taylor, lovely cross from Elliason and Weimann (won't replace Bobby) gets his third in four
  19. Look how quickly we have learnt from Boro, don't do anything and come away leading at half time ?
  20. Haha, yes, I said he wasn't looking at the ball when he goes for a header. Bizarre
  21. When he jumps up for a header it would also be useful if actually looked at the ball and went for it instead of just jumping into the player
  22. I think there’s no doubt that playing Fammy has changed our approach play - his goals return since coming back from injury is great but we were definitely playing better football with just Bobby up front. We really need to work out how to play more effectively with 2 up front. Paterson has been way less effective since he returned from that illness but I think it’s also because he has less of a free role since Fammy coming back in.
  23. Last season when we were in serious danger of relegation we had this ridiculous way of playing against teams with wingers where we would just literally leave them. The amount of goals we conceded where either the left or right back would drift inside leaving their winger free was unbelievable. We actually haven’t done that a lot this season which has cut out a lot of those goals but we have let this creep back in the last few games for some reason. Why do we do this?
