  1. We have produced adequate championship players. Regretfully some possibly have not shown the necessary quality to take us or keep us in the Premiership. Perhaps a cull is needed and one or two proven quality players bought.
  2. So what is the end game. Are any of the loanees or in fact the injured ones good enough to get us promotion? Are we taking a risk playing so many untried players or is it yet again hanging on lads to the end of the season.Seems to me that some proven quality is needed now, especially at 10 and midfield. Other clubs have worked that out. There’s no substitute for quality!
  3. It didn’t take long for Pulis to upset City fans whilst manager here. Refused to go in the Board Room after a match. Would not meet fan groups. Tried to play down the corridors football.Walked out without warning at the first opportunity. Another set back for the City as another false dawn,, but the vast majority wanted him to go.He was employed to get rid of dead wood, but wasn’t there long enough.
  4. Football goes in fashions. Watch the Tv now, most teams two bank of 4 a goal from a free kick or a deflection then two banks of 5. Where’s the flair.? where’s the quality? On the day they announce an MBE for Greavsey what has happened to the beautiful game.?
  5. The lack of experience of our young defenders through no fault of their own has caused the issues. You can’t lose players like Baker and Masson, without feeling the effects. The concentration needed to play twice a week is immense. Deano needs some reinforcements. In the meantime it’s a case of hang on lads. Let’s not start the blame the head coach already,
  6. Seems we may have lost some pace. Don’t know if the midfield can get sufficient goals and protect wing backs in defence, even with back 3 moving across.
  7. Correct on the history, a middle of the road club until Alan Dicks a35 yr old asst mgr took over saved us from relegation took us to the promised land.Saved by Coller and Sage and crowds of 4000. Club and Directors could not invest then the downward spiral.Cooper, Jordan started the comeback( still no investment). Until Lansdown. Not only funds but an attempt to put Bristol City on the map by a sustainable project. FFP means we can’t afford the top executives or players it’s a slow process with a stadium holding 27.000. So us old codgers carry on supporting, spending more than we should and wa
  8. Expectations have been sky high in the last 5weeks. The club needs the fans more than ever now. We’re now in recession ,there will be calls for refunds.Charm offensive needed urgently to boost morale.it could take years to get season tkt holders back.
  9. I presume we are still in the red, with very limited funds coming in. Anybody got any thoughts as to how we can improve the squad, without selling our best players. Or has Delano been given an impossible task?
  10. I thought this page was for supporters. There’s no guarantee any of us will see the start of the season live. Even if there is can you all get on bus or visit a toilet half time.?No income coming in , staff redundancies and you want us to boycott the shop, spend millions on a new management structure, with no big signings and Diedhou and Ellison on their way. Seems City needs true supporters at this difficult time.
  11. I was impressed that Liverpool gave an award to Alan Alana. We are about to lose players and possibly coaches who have worked tirelessly for City and the community. It is inevitable that their time at the club would come to an end. It would be a great gesture if some sort of recognition was given to them.
  12. LJ can only use the players he’s got. Some have lost their touch at the moment. Back to basics and hard work which means without Pack and Brownhill probably five hard workers midfield and Diedhou and Adobe sharing the hard work up front one at a time.
  13. Watching mostly PL on television recently. It certainly looks as if a lot of players are bigger and stronger than those at City. Whilst appreciating that this is not the only asset players need don’t you think that we could do with some Muscle in the team?
  14. Be interesting to see how they progress until the end of the season. Especially if the rumour that they may use a computer to decide results if matches are cancelled.
