  1. Unbelievable isn’t it. It’s like people just don’t get it or the gravity of what’s been said. It’s not a word out of place, a comment misinterpreted, something similar to a joke your uncle Nobby made once and was light hearted at the time, it is a direct comment to someone about their race that has serious connotations of hatred and narrow mindedness. Kick it out!
  2. Non probably. We’re not 9 years old.
  3. Well done for confronting and reporting. Disgusting to hear racist language used from these pathetic excuses for humans. Terrible thing is I heard racism during the Leeds game and reported it the club also. Make sure you also contact the club and give the seat area so it’s an official complaint. One of the worst things for me is the response I got on here when I posted. People accusing me of making it up, hearing it incorrectly, taking things too seriously, being a Rovers fan, and lacking evidence. Clearly there are still racist ***** within the ground and we need to all shut them down together.
  4. Yeah the 2 lads to my left and the father and his two children to my right.
  5. Also Monkeh what evidence was I suppose to get? Excuse me lads. Would the person who just shouted that racist comment mind saying it again so I can post proof of it on the Bristol City forum. You are ridiculous! Let’s all just say that there was a racist comment aimed at a black player and those around me heard it, discussed it, I then reported it, and we should be aware in case it happens again. If not fantastic. It means it was an extremely isolated incident and we’re not going back to the dark days.
  6. Oh Monkeh... I shouldn’t let you draw me into this but if you check my profile you’ll see I joined August 2015. Stopped posting as much due to people like you and your lack of understanding. The reason I called it the Williams is that was it was when I stated going 5 years. Sorry about that. Let’s hope I never got called to court. “Did you hear a racist comment?” ”yes your honour.” ”what stand were you in?” “The Williams” ”Don’t you mean the The Landsdown?” We can no longer take this trial seriously!”
  7. Sorry Monkeh I didn’t realise you had access to Police and security records at Ashton Gate. Oh dear, oh dear.
  8. Well said. I can’t believe the response. I’ve been coming to City for 5 years and always have a great time and think the support is quality. The club have the rough area from where the comment came and if it happens again hopefully the idiot will be banned. As I said before I’m simply trying to make people aware so it doesn’t happen and gain. If I hear anything like it again I’ll be sure I ask an experienced member of this group to post it as that seems the only way to be sure that things are taken seriously.
  9. So someone calling a player a black bastard when taking a throw in is getting my knickers in a twist? **** off you sad, narrow minded little man.
  10. This sums it up for me. Racism is racism. It’s not a ‘bit of racism’ or something slightly racist this was a personal attack on a player doing his job and some tool thinks it acceptable to abuse him because of the colour of his skin. All those who are trying to play it down as a minority or not as major as it was in the 70s have surprised me. This attitude is why it’s still happening in football from top levels down. Agree with other comment about children and people hearing but who ever hears it it is illegal and WRONG. The reason I’m putting it on is simply to highlight what I’ve heard and so we are all aware and can stamp out any further racist comments. I’m sure most of you are aware that across Europe and USA racist and facist issue are on the rise. Take Man United in the week. Or did the fans mis hear that or do we excuse it as it was only a few and a little bit racism. I don’t need to justify why and when I comment and here and I’m not only going to discuss highly important things as Fielding’s terrible goal kicks; Flint out of position after the goal kick tactics; Reid’s drop in form; Taylor questionable at this level; or Smith’s lack of creativity.
  11. Well said. Exactly why I made the point.
  12. It was the ex Newcastle player. Came on as sub.
  13. This makes me sad, frustrated and annoyed that you question the facts of my comment and also the fact that I’m new to posting shouldn’t even come into it, if I’ve something to report I’m glad that 10 years ago people told the racist to shut the **** up but not today. The comment was made quickly by some brainless **** and it was then too difficult to know who said it. Comment reported to steward but what can be done when no clue who said it. Believe me, I have no agenda to make the club look bad but want to make people aware that unfortunately we are sharing the ground with a racist thug. Ive been coming to AG for 5 years and have never heard racist language before and hope this is the last of it.
