Having looked up the rules I think the exact opposite.

MM wants to sell and sell quick.  Knows he’s gonna get 9 point deduction.  Derby likely to be in amongst the relegation battle anyway.  9 points lost could be the tipping point.  New buyers are gonna be very sceptical about the price of a Championship club with threat of relegation.  So, go into Administration, take minus 21 and that confirms relegation.  They don’t have a squad capable of 65+ points (44+) that might save them, least of all if the Administrators start selling assets.  So the sell becomes a clean League One proposition…and Mel hopes they find new buyers quickly.  He’s intimated as such.  New owners get to keep some of the squad together.

Thats my opinion.  Not sure if it makes sense or not.  What do you reckon?

Nail on head. Derby with a clean slate and fresh start in league one must be an attractive proposition although no guarantees as league one looks to be getting ever more competitive

Hilarious. They’ve been taken for a ride by a complete and utter charlatan. As if a true billionaire would see potential in a bunch of sewer rats. Almost a 419 scam.

It's almost as if they are some sort of performance art or long term installation project by the KLF

Good point - how much did we spaff on Steve Torpey in ‘97? Pretty sure it was more than the Taylor fee and that proved to be a poor signing (granted the injury he picked up on his debut at Grimsby didn’t exactly help).

I thought he injured himself crawling across the Severn Bridge to sign for us

Teenagers today won't know that feeling of walking into school after dicking them 4-2 at Twerton at the weekend. The most enjoyable of Monday mornings.

The ultimate for me would have been the morning after Donowa. 1991. Last year at school and we hadn't beaten them in nearly 5 years...coinciding with my secondary school years.....in terms of derbies it was a terrible period to be a City Fan.....strange to think they held the whip hand for that long

This gets better every time I hear it.

Surely some impressario can transform this gem of a recording into a blockbuster movie, a stage-play, musical or TV series.

Can anyone suggest a (suitably embarrassing) title?

    They punch horses don't they?.....

Just got back from the Panto at the Hippodrome. Cinders lived at 'Hardup Hall' complete with a crest above the door of the famous blue and white quarters. Very topical.

When the ugly sisters came on with City and rovers bags the eternally popular gas definately got the biggest boo and city the biggest cheer.

"Oh yes they did" before Miah says "oh no they didn't"

Happy New Year to everyone on here!

    Surely she was called Irene

This is why Gasheads are admired up and down the country for their humble, down to Earth nature.

Isnt that the club that they wanted to model their training facilities on until they realised that it would cost about 7 million quid more than they could afford?
